An interesting experience I had years ago was being in a brief conversation with a stranger. He commented that he was from a certain government agency. I returned with the comment that the Scud missiles launched by Iraq into Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm in 1991 had nuclear warheads. He said yes they did.
It was like who could tell a bigger story.
We were interrupted after the brief encounter and I was unable to follow up on the conversation.
I was in Saudi Arabia for Desert Storm. The missiles did not have nuclear warheads but it was speculated that they were capable of using them.
This conversation occurred before I was introduced to time travel stories and parallel realities. I often recall the encounter. I sometimes ponder a reality where that war was a nuclear war.
