It was a publicity stunt and the media had no problem spreading the lie without confirming it. His mother had died 5 days earlier.

I wonder if anyone else had anything to do with this story...like the liberals or mainstream news.
He might get hired by CNN since he has that rock solid credibility going for him.

I wouldn't doubt it. The media has created an atmosphere where any Trump basher knows they'll get publicity, so they can get stories even without trying.
