Artificial genes can stop aging?

Is it possible to create artificial genes that can permanently stop aging or really slow down aging process? Is there any science group who did these experiments?

Researchers know that Telomeres are the caps at the end of each strand of DNA that protect our chromosomes, like the plastic tips at the end of shoelaces. As we age the Telomeres grow shorter and shorter. It is believed that finding a way to stop or reverse the shortening process may stop or even reverse the aging process.

Ageless animals probably have some common reasons why they can live so long.

I think some independent scientists can do elixir of life and post this information on a few sites.
But humans probably have more than one aging process so maybe creating the cyborg or something similar
is the only possibility against aging.
