These are lesser known treatments which are either permanent or can be bought at a very low cost per daily dose. Inclined bed therapy helps with general health and many illnesses, has no adverse effects at all, and only has to be bought once, so everyone should raise the head of their bed. Borax and iodine should be taken forever if there are no adverse effects for the patient. It is good to know about butylated hydroxytoluene in case someone you know gets herpes or viral hepatitis, and to know about diatomaceous earth for many problems, especially parasites.

Borax [disodium tetraborate Na2(B4O7)+10H2O] contains boron which is a fungicide, an anti-inflammatory, and a detoxifying agent. It removes fluoride from the body, helps with osteoporosis, arthritis, gout, swollen gums, inflammatory diseases in general, fungal problems, arterial disease, some parasite problems, and some bladder and urinary tract infections. Only use pure borax, like 20 Mule Team Borax, never use scented borax, or any products which contain anything at all other than borax. Typical dose for an acute illness is 1/8 of a teaspoon in water once per day, once the acute illness is solved, 1/32 of a teaspoon per day should be taken forever. A two kilogram box of 20 Mule Team Borax costs about 10$, and has about 400 teaspoons of borax, enough to provide the typical 1/32 of a teaspoon dose for about 35 years.

Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) is a preservative often added to foods, and it happens to treat herpes and viral hepatitis. The dose varies but is typically 250 mg, twice per day. Some people get completely cured within a couple of years, some need to keep taking it in order to control their disease. Five hundred 250 mg capsules are enough for 200 days of regular use and cost about 40$. BHT can be bought in bulk, 10 kg costs about 400$, enough to treat someone for about 50 years.

Diatomaceous earth (DE) is the fossilized remains of diatoms, mostly silica. WARNING, only Food Grade diatomaceous earth can be used, the diatomaceous earth sold for use in pools is a different type and must not be used in humans or animals. Second warning, the diatomaceous earth must be immersed in water once you buy it by slowly pouring water on a spoon resting on it until the earth is completely covered, because the dry powder gets into the air and breathing it causes silicosis. If you are not a careful and cautious person do not use diatomaceous earth, even if you are careful and cautious you should read a lot about diatomaceous earth or talk to a naturopath before using it. Diatomaceous earth cleanses the colon, clears out many types of parasites and infections, removes fluoride, and helps skin, bones, and the heart. The typical daily dose is 1/4 of a teaspoon per day, a 7 kg bag is about 50$, which will last for about 15 years at that rate. For severe conditions like parasitic infection or fibromyalgia, the dose is much higher, up to 6 tablespoons per day.

Inclined bed therapy (IBT) is raising the head of your bed by about four to six inches. Inclined bed therapy helps in many ways, and does not have any adverse effects, so everyone should do this. It improves digestion, helps toxins go out through urine, and stretches the spine. It helps with reflux problems, back problems, skin conditions, autoimmune diseases, breathing problems, snoring, heart disease, diabetes and many other problems. The only cost is about 20$ to get bed risers, a stack of heavy books also works but the bed could fall off that stack so this is not recommended.

Iodine is an antiseptic, is needed for the thyroid, heart and immune system, treats cysts and cancer, removes fluoride, and helps with lots of other problems. Seaweed is a good source, if you don't like seaweed or need a lot of iodine for an acute illness, you can buy Lugol's iodine which is 2 to 5 percent iodine, depending on the brand. Typical daily dose is one drop (0.05 ml), a 15 ml bottle is about 10$, which is enough for about one year. A five gallon (40 L) drum costs about 700$ and will last for 2,000 years of typical use.
