I don't have an answer to that. One thing I have learned by using a fact based approach to understanding is that we don't get to decide how our reality is put together. We just have to accept the way it actually is.

Nope. Remember the rule. In order for a theory to be accepted as a scientific theory, it has to be falsifiable. So right from the start the theory of relativity was falsified.
