10 March Night time now. Sarah and Bret are asleep. We had a pretty whirlwind of a day today. Bret stayed home from school so we interacted all day. Sarah wanted to reward him for his school work so she let him do what she called playing hookie. Back home that is frowned upon. I went to a year round school and we only had 10 years of schooling. Starting at age 6 until age 16 at which point all of the males went into a mandatory 2 year military academy. Thinking about it now I guess that it technically constitutes 12 years of schooling. Females can join the training after primary schooling but it's optional. Again, maybe that's the reason that our society is very maneristic compared to the individuals that I have encountered here. We took Bret to Chuck E. Cheese's for lunch. This pizza restaurant is very over priced and the food isn't very good. It is all very greasy. I believe that you are paying for the atmosphere for the children. Bret really enjoyed himself so I guess that is what mattered in this occasion. I ate the salad after I bit into the pizza and tasted how oily it was. My hands were also coated in grease so I chose not to finish my portion. He said "Daddy, you love pizza. Why aren't you eating?" I forced myself through a slice with him and ate salad while he was "wack'n moles" (?). After Chuck E. Cheese's we went and played miniature golf. This was a bit more fun but I had to remind myself not to be so competitive. Sports back home are extremely intense, so a casual game like miniature golf was new to me. Bret had a thorpe of fun as did Sarah. I hit the ball very hard at first and we were almost removed from gameplay. I have never played golf, so I was under the assumption that you had to hit the ball harder. They informed me that it was called "putt putt" for a reason. After that Bret and Sarah visited Sarah's parents and I called Ronny's mother. There was a familiarity to her voice but that was the extent of it. I could tell that Ronny hardly ever interacts with his mother. She called to ask how he was since they haven't talked in a few weeks. She said that I (Ronny) sounded different. I told her that I have been going to a doctor because I am having some amnesia problems. She overreacted hugely! Apparently she still worries about him, as I assume my mother does for me. I asked her how my father is. She started crying and asked me how I couldn't remember his death. We stopped talking after that. Tomorrow I am going to go to a psychic. I don't believe in the supernatural but I am open to anything at this point. I would be a fool not to think that there are things going on behind the scenes that I am not privy to.
