I asked two people in Loughborough University,
One said time is the indefinite continued progress of existence and events in the past, present, and future regarded as a whole.
The other change is that change is the essential process of all existence and change is time.

Well if I modify my statement slightly, the past is different from the future. So the accelerating expansion of space would have to be changing. I do recall reading that the acceleration has been increasing over time.
