The 4017 chip produces a sequential pulse from outputs 1 thru 4 then restarts the sequence. So I connected outputs 1 and 3 to the inputs of the first RS Latch. Then I connected outputs 2 and 4 to the second RS Latch. What this does is to create output pulses form one RS Latch that are 90 degrees apart in time with the second RS Latch. The outputs of the RS Latch circuits are connected to 4 Power Mosfets which in turn are connected to your 4 output coils.
