idk about that. Do you venerate the future and prevent it from being changed with every action you take? Future isn't sacred and neither is the past.
There are risks of course to your own life and others if you change things with the assumption of an incorrect cause to events. Then things can get pretty bad after ya change stuff.
To the credit of time travelers, big events are possible to change but they still happen just in a different form and a little later. To change big events ya really have to convince large swaths of people to change their mindsets for years beforehand.
On the flipside events that happen to single individuals are easy to change.
There are dozens of publicly known time machine designs right now. People just ignore them. There are simple ones, complex super efficient ones, etc.
Studying and building time machines is probably one of the most sacred spiritual pursuits you can have. Time travel reveals the existence of spiritual energy, nature of reality and gives ya proof of god.
It's what all lab alchemy recipes are about, philosopher stones, ormus materials, free energy, antigravity, superhealing, cancer cures, antigravity, teleportation, ascension chambers, death rays, age regression, higher consciousness, dematerialization of materials and lifeforms, star trek type replicators, curing yourself of psychological problems, proof of the collective unconscious.
It's all applications of time travel tech.
