I've been interested in Bible Prophecy for some time and like to compare it to the local news media reports. Please post your comments on what has been fullfilled and what hasn't. One reason I was led to this site was realizing things were happening around me and I wanted to know more...so post away!
To me the end times clock didn't start ticking until Isreal became a nation. So here is a post regarding Isreal. 1948 ISREAL These 10 Bible prophecies were fulfilled after 1948, when Israel became an independent country for the second time in history. These prophecies foretold of modern Israel's stunning military victories and of its transition from a desert wasteland to a prosperous nation. 1. Israel will prevail over its enemies Bible passage: Isaiah 41:12-14 Written: perhaps between 701-681 BC Fulfilled: late 1900s In Isaiah 41:12-14, the prophet said God would help Israel during times of conflict with enemies (if the people have faith in God). Isaiah said this during a time when the northern kingdom of Israel had already been conquered by the Assyrian Empire. And the southern kingdom, Judah, was about to be conquered by Babylon. (The Bible explains that Israel and Judah lost their independence because so many of the residents had turned to false religions). But, since 1948 when Israel was re-established, Israel has been attacked by much-larger countries. And Israel has prevailed in each of those attacks. This prophecy has found partial fulfillment; Christian scholars believe that a time will come when all of Israel's enemies are destroyed. Here is Isaiah 41:12-14 Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all. For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Do not be afraid, O worm Jacob, O little Israel, for I myself will help you," declares the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. 2. The ruins of Israel would be rebuilt Bible passage: Amos 9:11, 13 Written: about 750 BC Fulfilled: late 1900s In Amos 9:11, 13, the prophet said that God would restore the land of David. (King David ruled Israel from about 1010 BC to about 970 BC). The land of David - Israel - was conquered and destroyed by the Babylonians, Assyrians and Romans. The land has been in ruins for much of the past 2000 years. The Jews, who had been scattered throughout the world, began to return in large numbers during the past 100 years. Since then, they have been rebuilding many of Israel's ancient cities. Amos also said there would be continuous planting and harvesting. During the past 100 years, the Jews have been using advanced farming and irrigation techniques to turn barren land into productive farmland. Today, Israel is a source of food for many countries. Here is Amos 9:11, 13 "In that day I will restore David's fallen tent. I will repair its broken places, restore its ruins, and build it as it used to be,'' … "The days are coming," declares the Lord, "when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman and the planter by the one treading grapes. New wine will drip from the mountains and flow from all the hills." 3. Ezekiel prophesied prosperity for modern-day Israel Bible passage: Ezekiel 36:11 Written: between 593-571 BC Fulfilled: late 1900s In Ezekiel 36:11, the prophet said that there would come a time when Israel would be more prosperous than it was in the past. The Bible describes Israel as being a prosperous nation during the time of King David and King Solomon about 3000 years ago. But, Ezekiel knew a very different Israel. In Ezekiel's day (he lived about 2600 years ago), the northern kingdom of Israel already had been decimated by the Assyrians, and the southern kingdom (called Judah) was being destroyed by the Babylonians. In the centuries that followed these destructions, Jews rebuilt the city of Jerusalem, but their homeland was destroyed again, by the Romans, about 1900 years ago. Since then, a majority of Jews have lived in exile. But during the past 100 years, millions of Jews from around the world moved to Israel and they have been rebuilding the country once again. Today, Israel again is an independent nation, as it was in the days of King David, and it is one of the world's most prosperous countries. In 1999, Israel had the highest per capita Gross Domestic Product of any nearby country, even though the surrounding countries have many oil resources. Here is Ezekiel 36:11 I will increase the number of men and animals upon you, and they will be fruitful and become numerous. I will settle people on you as in the past and will make you prosper more than before. Then you will know that I am the Lord. 4. Trees again would grow in Israel Bible passage: Isaiah 41:18-20 Written: perhaps between 701-681 BC Fulfilled: late 1900s In Isaiah 41:18-20, the prophet's talk of a future restoration of Israel coincides with an occurrence in modern Israel - the construction of a vast irrigation system to improve farming. The lack of available water, including rain, is one reason why Israel had been a desolate, unproductive land during much of the past 2000 years. But, during the 1900s, when many Jews returned to their ancient homeland, they built a network of irrigation systems. And during the past century, more than 200 million trees have been planted in Israel. Here is Isaiah 41:18-20 I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. I will turn the desert into pools of water, and the parched ground into springs. I will put in the desert the cedar and the acacia, the myrtle and the olive. I will set pines in the wasteland, the fir and the cypress together, so that people may see and know, may consider and understand, that the hand of the Lord has done this, that the Holy One of Israel has created it. 5. Isaiah said Israel's fruit would fill the world Bible passage: Isaiah 27:6 Written: perhaps between 701-681 BC Fulfilled: late 1900s In Isaiah 27:6, the prophet said Israel would one day blossom and fill the world with fruit. This prophecy has been at least partially fulfilled, literally and symbolically. Today, the land of Israel, which had been barren for centuries, is a leading producer of agricultural products, exporting food to many countries. This prophecy also has been fulfilled symbolically with the worldwide spread of Christianity. Christianity, which began with Jesus in Israel, now has about 2 billion followers worldwide. Here is Isaiah 27:6 In days to come Jacob will take root, Israel will bud and blossom and fill all the world with fruit. 6. Jerusalem would become the world's most important religious site Bible passage: Micah 4:1 Written: sometime between 750-686 BC Fulfilled: Today In Micah 4:1, the prophet said that the Temple mount in Jerusalem would become the focal point of the world. This prophecy has not yet been fulfilled. But, it is interesting to note that Jerusalem is, and has been for centuries, the world's most important religious site. Christians and Jews regard the city as the world's most important, and Christians and Jews comprise about one-third of the world's population. No other city in the world is a religious focal point to as many people. Here is Micah 4:1 In the last days the mountain of the Lord's temple will be established as chief among the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, and peoples will stream to it. 7. Egypt would never again rule over other nations Bible passage: Ezekiel 29:15 Written: between 593-571 BC Fulfilled: 1967, etc. In Ezekiel 29:15, the prophet says that Egypt would recover from a desolation (perhaps Babylon's attack about 2600 years ago), but that it would never again rule over other nations. Up until the time of Ezekiel, Egypt had been a world power for centuries, dominating many nations, including Israel. But for most of the past 2500 years, Egypt has been controlled by foreign powers, including the Romans, Ottomans and Europeans. Today, Egypt is an independent nation again. In 1948, 1967 and 1973, Egypt tried to dominate Israel but was unsuccessful each time, despite the fact that Egypt is 10 times larger than Israel. Since the time of Ezekiel, Egypt no longer rules over other nations. Here is Ezekiel 29:15 It will be the lowliest of kingdoms and will never again exalt itself above the other nations. I will make it so weak that it will never again rule over the nations. 8. Zechariah prophesied the Jews return to Jerusalem Bible passage: Zechariah 8:7-8 Written: between 520 and 518 BC Fulfilled: 1967, etc. In Zechariah 8:7-8, the prophet said God would bring the Jews back from the east and the west to their homeland (Israel) and that they would be able to live in the city of Jerusalem again. This prophecy has been fulfilled more than once. About 2600 years ago, Babylon destroyed Jerusalem and took many Jews as captives to Babylon. But many Jews later returned from Babylon. The Jews rebuilt Jerusalem but the city was destroyed about 1900 years ago by the Romans. The Romans killed more than 1 million Jews and forced many more into exile. The Jews did not have control of Jerusalem again until 1967 when the Jews recaptured the city during the Six Day War. Here is Zechariah 8:7-8 This is what the Lord Almighty says: "I will save my people from the countries of the east and the west. I will bring them back to live in Jerusalem; they will be my people, and I will be faithful and righteous to them as their God." 9. Israel's deserts will become like the Garden of Eden Bible passage: Isaiah 51:3 Written: perhaps between 701-681 BC Fulfilled: Being fulfilled now In Isaiah 51:3, the prophet said that God will restore Israel and make it a paradise, like the garden of Eden. This foreshadows what is currently happening in Israel. The Jews have been irrigating, cultivating and reconditioning the land during much of the 1900s. Many of the country's swamps, which had been infested with malaria, have been converted into farmland. And water from the Sea of Galilee has been channeled through portions of the deserts, allowing some of the deserts to bloom. Much work remains, but parts of Israel are blooming again. Although it was described as a wasteland as recently as the late 1800s, Israel is now a food source for many countries. And at least 200 million of trees have been planted there during the past century. Here is Isaiah 51:3 The Lord will surely comfort Zion and will look with compassion on all her ruins; he will make her deserts like Eden, her wastelands like the garden of the Lord. Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the sound of singing. 10. Isaiah foretold of the worldwide return of Jews to Israel Bible passage: Isaiah 43:5-6 Written: perhaps between 701-681 BC Fulfilled: late 1900s In Isaiah 43:5-6, the prophet Isaiah said that the Jews would return to their homeland from the east, the west, the north and the south. Isaiah lived about 2700 years ago. At that time, the Assyrians had forced many Jews in the northern kingdom of Israel into exile. Those Jews were taken to other areas in the Middle East. Then, about 1900 years ago, the Romans destroyed the city of Jerusalem and killed and exiled hundreds of thousands of Jews. Since then, the Jews have been scattered to virtually every country in the world. But, during the past century, millions of Jews have returned to Israel, from the east, the west, the north and the south. From the east: Many Jews living in the Middle East moved to Israel by the early 1900s. From the west: During mid-1900s, hundreds of thousands of Jews living in the West (Europe and the United States) began moving to Israel. From the north: The former Soviet Union (Russia) is north of Israel. It refused to allow its Jewish residents to move to Israel. But, after years of pressure from other countries, Russia finally began to allow Jews to return to Israel during the 1980s. So far, hundreds of thousands of Russian Jews have moved to Israel. From the south: Ethiopia, which is south of Israel, also refused to allow its Jews to return to Israel. But, in 1985, Israel struck a deal with Ethiopia's communist government to allow the Jews of Ethiopia to move to Israel. On the weekend of May 25, 1991, 14,500 Ethiopian Jews were airlifted to Israel. Isaiah's prophecy was also correct in saying that the north (Russia) and the south (Ethiopia) would have to be persuaded to give up their Jews. Many countries pressured Russia for years before it began to allow its Jews to leave. And Ethiopia had to be paid a ransom to allow its Jews to leave. Isaiah's prophecy was also correct in saying that the Jews would return "from the ends of the earth," and Isaiah said that many centuries before the Jews had been scattered to the ends of the earth. During the past 100 years, Jews living as far east as China, as far west as the West Coast of the United States, as far north as Scandinavia, and as far south as South Africa, have moved to Israel. Here is Isaiah 43:5-6 "Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west. I will say to the north, `Give them up!' and to the south, `Do not hold them back.' Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth Prophecies Index
Signs of the Times Signs pointing to the End of this Age have never been more abundant than they are in today's headlines. They herald a time of great change, which has been promised for millennia. But today is different. What is unique about this time revolves around Israel and man's intellectual evolution. First, Israel has always been God's prophetic clock. In Matthew 24:32, Jesus tells us to watch for the rebudding (re-establishment) of the fig tree – a symbol of Israel. He warns two verses later when this happens, that generation who sees Israel once again attain statehood "will not pass" until the judgments and the Lord's return take place. This is THE key and often overlooked. Israel became a nation once again in 1948 and they finally recaptured all of Jerusalem in June 1967. This is quite a feat since Jews were dispursed throughout the world for 2,534 years, managed to hold onto their language and their heritage. When this has happened to other people, they have assimilated into the culture where they live and their heritage becomes just a memory. Israel's re-establishment set the Lord's clock in motion and He warns that "when you see these signs, all taken together, coming to pass, you may know of a surety that He is near, at the very doors." (Matthew 24:33). So while that we may know only "the times and the seasons", not a specific date, the Lord could arrive literally at any moment. The second puzzle piece unique to this time is man's scientific advancements. We literally could not have designed and built cars, planes or atomic bombs 200 years ago. We needed computers to effectively distribute the Gospel worldwide and the Internet to disseminate vast amounts of information. Computers and chips are critical to accomplish the global 666 numbering system waiting in the wings and to keep track of those who will allowed to buy or sell when they take this chip. These are all new technologies compared to using horseback for your main means of travel. Individually many of the signs listed in the Gospels have always been present. It's when ALL these things happen after the formation of the State of Israel that they become truly prophetically significant. SIGNS: Airplanes – Isaiah 31:5 and Isaiah 60:8 Horseless carriages or automobiles – Nahum 2:3-4 Israel's deserts will bloom "as a rose" – Isaiah 35:1 Alignment of the European Union – Daniel 2 & 7 Explosion in knowledge, technology and science – Daniel 12:4 Great increase in travel – Daniel 12:4 Rise of false christs and false prophets – Matthew 24:5, 11 and 24 Wars and rumors of wars – Matthew 24:6 and Revelation 6:3-4 Famines – Matthew 24:7 Earthquakes in different places – Mark 13:8 Pestilences – Luke 21:11 Injustice and discrimination flourish – Matthew 24:12 and 2Timothy 3:13 Lawlessness – Mark 13:12 and 2Timothy 3:1-4, 6 The Gospel of Kingdom will be preached worldwide – Matthew 24:14 Signs in the Sun, moon, space – Luke 21:25-26 Rise of evil spirits, cults and apostates – 1Timothy 4:1-2 Hoarding of gold and silver – James 5:1-3 False prophets denying Christ's deity – 2Peter 2:1-2 Scoffers mocking the Second Coming – 2Peter 3:3-4 Invention of the atomic bomb – 2Peter 3:10-12 Lethargy and indifference among God's people – Revelation 3:15-18 Jerusalem emerges as an international bone of contention – Zechariah 12:2-3 (Jerusalem become a cup of trembling) Rise of anti-semitism – Psalms 83:4 Russia's new military power and its alliance with the Islamic world – Ezekiel 38 & 39 and Joel 2 & 3 Daniel 11:40 (alignment with Islamic world) and Ezekiel 30:5-6 and Psalm 83:4-7 Emergence of a mighty world power in Asia or China – Revelation 16:12, Revelation 9:14-18 In closing, we are taught in 1 Thess. 5:10-11 to encourage one another:
I believe the Superstorm that's coming to the East Coast may be Bible Prophecy fulfilled. Here's the article and Scripture. Pay attention folks! Bible Prohecy is the only prophecy that's 100% accurate! Don't believe me? See what Bible Prophecy has already been fulfilled on The Daniel Project: Prophecy 100% accurate thread. 1) In recent weeks, we have had some huge Meteors pass by our earth, which could be the "signs in the...stars". 2) There is certainly presently "dismay among nations"! 3) "...perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world..." This Scripture (an excerpt) is Jesus answering the question of what will be the signs of the End of the Age, the End Times, Last Days. Read the full Chapter, Luke 21, in the Bible to see more of what Jesus foretold in that Gospel. Luke 21:25-28: "There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken."Then they will see THE SON OF MAN COMING IN A CLOUD with power and great glory."But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near." This coming Superstorm is some pretty heavy sh*t! Superstorm could impact 60 million people in US; coastal residents told to get out of the way SHIP BOTTOM, N.J. - Forget distinctions like tropical storm or hurricane. Don't get fixated on a particular track. Wherever it hits, the rare behemoth storm inexorably gathering in the eastern U.S. will afflict a third of the country with sheets of rain, high winds and heavy snow, say officials who warned millions in coastal areas to get out of the way. "We're looking at impact of greater than 50 to 60 million people," said Louis Uccellini, head of environmental prediction for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. As Hurricane Sandy barrelled north from the Caribbean — where it left nearly five dozen dead — to meet two other powerful winter storms, experts said it didn't matter how strong the storm was when it hit land: The rare hybrid storm that follows will cause havoc over 800 miles from the East Coast to the Great Lakes. "This is not a coastal threat alone," said Craig Fugate, director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency. "This is a very large area." President Barack Obama was monitoring the storm and working with state and locals governments to make sure they get the resources needed to prepare, administration officials said. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie declared a state of emergency Saturday as hundreds of coastal residents started moving inland and the state was set to close its casinos. New York's governor was considering shutting down the subways to avoid flooding and half a dozen states warned residents to prepare for several days of lost power. Sandy weakened briefly to a tropical storm Saturday but was soon back up to Category 1 strength, packing 75 mph winds. It was about 275 miles south-southeast of Cape Hatteras, N.C., and moving northeast at 14 mph as of 2 a.m. Sunday. Forecasters said the storm was spreading tropical storm conditions across the coastline of North Carolina, and they were expected to move up the mid-Atlantic coastline late Sunday. Experts said the storm was most likely to hit the southern New Jersey coastline by late Monday or early Tuesday. Governors from North Carolina, where heavy rain was expected Sunday, to Connecticut declared states of emergency. Delaware ordered mandatory evacuations for coastal communities by 8 p.m. Sunday. Christie, who was widely criticized for not interrupting a family vacation in Florida while a snowstorm pummeled the state in 2010, broke off campaigning for Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney in North Carolina on Friday to return home. "I can be as cynical as anyone," Christie said in a bit of understatement Saturday. "But when the storm comes, if it's as bad as they're predicting, you're going to wish you weren't as cynical as you otherwise might have been." The storm forced the presidential campaign to juggle schedules. Romney scrapped plans to campaign Sunday in the swing state of Virginia and switched his schedule for the day to Ohio. First lady Michelle Obama cancelled an appearance in New Hampshire for Tuesday, and Obama moved a planned Monday departure for Florida to Sunday night to beat the storm. He cancelled appearances in Northern Virginia on Monday and Colorado on Tuesday. In Ship Bottom, just north of Atlantic City, Alice and Giovanni Stockton-Rossini spent Saturday packing clothing in the backyard of their home, a few hundred yards from the ocean on Long Beach Island. Their neighbourhood was under a voluntary evacuation order, but they didn't need to be forced. "It's really frightening," Alice Stockton-Rossi said. "But you know how many times they tell you, 'This is it, it's really coming and it's really the big one' and then it turns out not to be? I'm afraid people will tune it out because of all the false alarms before ... (but) this one might be the one." A few blocks away, Russ Linke was taking no chances. He and his wife secured the patio furniture, packed the bicycles into the pickup truck, and headed off the island. What makes the storm so dangerous and unusual is that it is coming at the tail end of hurricane season and the beginning of winter storm season, "so it's kind of taking something from both," said Jeff Masters, director of the private service Weather Underground. Masters said the storm could be bigger than the worst East Coast storm on record — the 1938 New England hurricane known as the Long Island Express, which killed nearly 800 people. "Part hurricane, part nor'easter — all trouble," he said. Experts said to expect high winds over 800 miles and up to 2 feet of snow as far inland as West Virginia. And the storm was so big, and the convergence of the three storms so rare, that "we just can't pinpoint who is going to get the worst of it," said Rick Knabb, director of the National Hurricane Center in Miami. Officials are particularly worried about the possibility of subway flooding in New York City, said Uccellini. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo told the Metropolitan Transportation Authority to prepare to shut the city's subways, buses and suburban trains by Sunday, but delayed making a final decision. The city shut the subways down before last year's Hurricane Irene, and a Columbia University study predicted that an Irene surge just 1 foot higher would have paralyzed lower Manhattan. Up and down the Eastern Seaboard and far inland, officials urged residents and businesses to prepare in big ways and little. On Saturday evening, Amtrak began cancelling train service to parts of the East Coast, including between Washington, D.C., and New York. Airlines started moving planes out of East Coast airports to avoid damage and adding flights out of New York and Washington on Sunday in preparation for flight cancellations on Monday. The Virginia National Guard was authorized to call up to 500 troops to active duty for debris removal and road-clearing, while homeowners stacked sandbags at their front doors in coastal towns. At a Home Depot in Virginia Beach, employee Dave Jusino said the store was swamped with customers. "We have organized chaos, is what I call it," Jusino said. "We organize a group of 10 associates, give them certain responsibilities and we just separate the lines, organize four customers at a time, load up their cars and get them out the door and then take the next customers." Utility officials warned rains could saturate the ground, causing trees to topple into power lines, and told residents to prepare for several days at home without power. "We're facing a very real possibility of widespread, prolonged power outages," said Ruth Miller, spokeswoman for the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency. Warren Ellis, who was on an annual fishing pilgrimage on North Carolina's Outer Banks, didn't act fast enough to get home. Ellis' 73-year-old father managed to get off uninhabited Portsmouth Island near Cape Hatteras by ferry Friday. But the son and his camper got stranded when high winds and surf forced the ferry service to suspend operations Saturday. "We might not get off here until Tuesday or Wednesday, which doesn't hurt my feelings that much," said Ellis, 44, of Amissville, Va. "Because the fishing's going to be really good after this storm." Last year, Hurricane Irene poked a new inlet through the island, cutting the only road off Hatteras Island for about 4,000. In Connecticut, the Naval Submarine Base in Groton prepared to install flood gates and pile up sandbags to protect against flooding while its five submarines remain in port through the storm. Lobsterman Greg Griffen in Maine wasn't taking any chances; he moved 100 of his traps to deep water, where they are less vulnerable to shifting and damage in a storm. "Some of my competitors have been pulling their traps and taking them right home," said Griffen. The dire forecast "sort of encouraged them to pull the plug on the season." In Muncy Valley in northern Pennsylvania, Rich Fry learned his lesson from last year, when Tropical Storm Lee inundated his Katie's Country Store. In between helping customers picking up necessities Saturday, Fry was moving materials above the flood line. Fry said he was still trying to recover from the losses of last year's storm, when he estimates he lost $35,000 in merchandise. "It will take a lot of years to cover that," he said. Christie's emergency declaration will force the shutdown of Atlantic City's 12 casinos for only the fourth time in the 34-year history of legalized gambling here. The approach of Hurricane Irene shut down the casinos for three days last August. Atlantic City officials said they would begin evacuating the gambling hub's 30,000 residents at noon Sunday, busing them to mainland shelters and schools. Tom Foley, Atlantic City's emergency management director, recalled the March 1962 storm when the ocean and the bay met in the centre of the city. "This is predicted to get that bad," he said. Eighty-five-year-old former sailor Ray Leonard said if he had loved ones living in the projected landfall area, he would tell them to leave. Leonard knows to heed the warnings. He and two crewmates in his 32-foot sailboat, Satori, rode out 1991's infamous "perfect storm," made famous by the Sebastian Junger bestseller of the same name, before being plucked from the Atlantic off Martha's Vineyard, Mass., by a Coast Guard helicopter. "Don't be rash," Leonard said in a telephone interview Saturday from his home in Fort Myers, Fla. "Because if this does hit, you're going to lose all those little things you've spent the last 20 years feeling good about."
We never have to agree with any signs in the world at all. The world as we know it is created and maintained by God; the Bible tells us this. Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. The I AM Presence shows how we are the manifestation of God: I AM Presence - God Self - Great I AM Therefore, we create the world and it is up to us to change our lives as we have been told for thousands of years now in order to have the world that God wants for us.
So what happens when these "signs" don't lead to anything. I'm sure most of us remember the good old Y2K. Everyone was screaming the Sky is falling, the sky is falling... But ended up with nothing to show for it except everyone ended up with stockpiles of canned food and bottled water. In all seriousness, what is everyones opinions on "whats next" if we hit 2016 and nothing actually happens? (religious side of things)
Well Loopi IMHO The bible is no better a prediction than Nostradames or The Mayan Calender it's all text that is takin and turned into what people want it to be there is no predictions or gurantee on the future just lucky guesses no time traveler or old guy from the 1503 or a book can predict on what is going to happen it is impossible to predict the nature of human kind sorry to say. I mean honistly why would you want to know what is going to happen? Wouldn't that take the fun out of living if you knew in 1 year earth blew up?
Aye, sir. Couldn't agree more. Because at the end of the day, Worrying is alot like a rocking chair... Sure it is fun for awhile but ultimately it doesn't get you anywhere. . . But it just seems as far as my life time is concerned that once one Prophecy falls through, another one arises. Which I guess why the Bible one, is so compelling for most people because it's easily applied to anytime timeframe in human existance (minus caveman era and a few others of course.)
People just wan't some to believe in is all it is IMO, It's something to talk about to bring up in a coversation or to break up the constant news articles about celebrities, i also believe it is propaganda for alot of businesses think about how much grocery stores made with the Y2K scare and people buying supplys? they made out like bandits.
The problems on Earth have in fact been going on millions of years, and they just continue to unfold. So much of the End Times stuff I started hearing about in the late 90s has in fact happened. Earth changes, collapse of the economy, etc. The Bible prophecies may not come to pass exactly as they are written, but they have already started unfolding. In our world though we have had the revelation of the I AM as well as the Violet Flame which is everyone's chance to change themselves and the world. It states in the Bible that one known as the "Ancient of Days" came to the Earth to help: Daniel 7:22 Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. He is also mentioned in the Hindu religion as Karttikeya. In New Age groups his name is known as Sanat Kumara. He came from Venus about a million years ago to keep the Earth from being cancelled out: ASCENDED MASTER SANAT KUMARA – HIS MISSION TO EARTH – Part I « The Way of Love Blog ASCENDED MASTER SANAT KUMARA – HIS MISSION TO EARTH “We live but to love life free.” It is up to us to liberate this planet; Sanat Kumara has helped us for millenia already.
Problem EVERY prophecy at some point in time has started to unravel and every single one has eventually failed, predicting the future is not difficult so long as you leave your statments open ended, for example. I had a Vision that a Great change was to come once the current power is reset trouble and turmoil will fill the planet for years to come, this shall be a great lesson for mankind. Now you would automatically assume that i was talking about the elections right? Nope in reality i was talking about the poor people in the cubes next to me after eating chinese for lunch.
End Times Bible Prophecy says there will be a world war at Armageddon (which is at the place of Megiddo in Israel)...a war that encircles Israel, God's people and nation. Will the events that are happening now be the catalyst for that Apocalypse? Palestinian rocket aimed at Jerusalem for 1st time November 16, 2012 - GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) — Hamas rocket squads aimed at Jerusalem for the first time Friday, along with commercial hub Tel Aviv, showing off their expanded reach with what they said were Gaza-made projectiles that have never been fired before. Israel called up 16,000 reservists, moving a step closer to a possible ground offensive in the Palestinian territory. Air raid sirens sounded in the two cities which — unlike population centers in Israel's south — had not been exposed to rocket fire from Hamas-ruled Gaza before the current round of cross-border fighting. No injuries were reported, but Hamas' latest attempts to hit Israel's heartland could push Israel closer to sending ground troops into Gaza. Over the past three days, Israel has relentlessly pounded suspected rocket launching sites and other Hamas targets in Gaza with scores of airstrikes, while Hamas has fired more than 450 rockets toward Israel. Hamas was badly bruised during its last full-fledged confrontation with Israel four years ago, but appeared better prepared this time with a more powerful arsenal. Just a few years ago, Palestinian rockets were limited to crude, homemade devices manufactured in Gaza. But in recent years, Hamas and other armed groups have smuggled in sophisticated, longer-range rockets from Iran and Libya, which has been flush with weapons since Moammar Gadhafi was ousted last year. Most of the rockets do not have guided systems, limiting their accuracy, though Israeli officials believe the militants may have a small number of guided missiles that have not yet been deployed. Hamas said the two rockets aimed at the two Israeli cities Friday were made in Gaza, a prototype the militants call M-75, and have a range of about 80 kilometers (50 miles). The air raid sirens sounded in Jerusalem after the start of the Jewish Sabbath in the holy city, claimed by both Israel and the Palestinians as a capital and located about 75 kilometers (47 miles) from Gaza. Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said the rocket landed in an open area southeast of the city. Earlier Friday, Gaza militants fired toward Tel Aviv and an explosion was heard in the city, but no injuries were reported. Hamas had first targeted Tel Aviv on Thursday, an unprecedented achievement for the group. "We are sending a short and simple message: There is no security for any Zionist on any single inch of Palestine and we plan more surprises," Abu Obeida, spokesman for the Hamas militant wing, said of the rockets aimed at Israel's two main cities. Lt. Col. Avital Leibovich, an Israeli military spokeswoman, said no decision has been made yet on a ground offensive but all options are on the table. Dozens of armored vehicles have been moved to Israel's border with Gaza since fighting intensified Wednesday, following Israel's assassination of the Hamas military chief. She said 16,000 reserve soldiers were called up Friday, and the army could draft an additional 14,000 soldiers. She did not say where the reservists were being deployed. The violence has widened the instability gripping the region, straining already frayed Israel-Egypt relations. The Islamist government in Cairo, like Hamas linked to the region-wide Muslim Brotherhood, recalled its ambassador in protest and dispatched Prime Minister Hesham Kandil to show solidarity with Gaza. Kandil called for an end to the offensive while touring Gaza City's Shifa Hospital with the territory's prime minister, Ismail Haniyeh of Hamas, who was making his first public appearance since the fighting began. In one chaotic moment, a man rushed toward the two leaders, shouting as he held up the body of a 4-year-old boy. The two prime ministers cradled the lifeless boy who Hamas said was killed in an Israeli airstrike — a claim Israel denied. Fighting to hold back tears, Kandil told reporters that the Israeli operation must end. "What I saw today in the hospital, the wounded and the martyrs, the boy ... whose blood is still on my hands and clothes, is something that we cannot keep silent about," he said. Israel said it halted its incessant air attacks on militant targets in Gaza during Kandil's visit, though Hamas security claimed three airstrikes hit the territory during that period. Militants, meanwhile, fired off more than 60 rockets after Kandil arrived in Gaza. The pace of cross-border fighting quickly resumed after the Egyptian leader's departure. In Egypt's two largest cities, Cairo and Alexandria, thousands protested the Israeli offensive Friday in marches organized by Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi's Muslim Brotherhood. Protesters waved Palestinian flags and chanted slogans against Israel. In Cairo's Tahrir Square, a few hundred protesters burned an Israeli flag. Prominent Brotherhood figures took part, many brandishing the checkered Palestinian scarf, or keffiyeh, during the marches. Small anti-Israeli demonstrations occurred in east Jerusalem and the West Bank. Police dispersed the crowds with tear gas and stun grenades. And in Iran, a close Hamas ally, thousands of people took to the streets in the capital Tehran. The demonstrators carried banners denouncing Israel. They chanted "Death to the U.S." and "Death to Israel." In Europe, reaction was mixed. Germany held Hamas responsible and urged Egypt to pressure the Islamists to halt the violence, while Britain cautioned Israel against launching a ground offensive. "When Israel has entered into ground invasions in other conflicts that is when they have lost a good deal of international sympathy and support, and of course civilian casualties become much harder to avoid in that situation," Foreign Minister William Hague told reporters in London. In the West Bank, the Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas, announced that U.N. chief Ban Ki-moon would arrive in the region in the coming days in a bid to reduce tensions. Abbas lost control of Gaza to Hamas five years ago but still claims to represent both Palestinian territories. Israeli officials also confirmed Ban was expected. It was not immediately clear whether Ban would visit Gaza. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appeared determined to move forward. "The Israeli military "continues to strike hard against Hamas and is prepared to expand its action into Gaza," he said. At least 23 Palestinians, including 12 militants and six children, as well as three Israelis have been killed in the fighting — a relatively low toll compared to the beginning of Israel's previous major offensive against Hamas four years ago. Netanyahu has said the air force is trying to strike surgically and avoid harm to civilians. The 4-year-old boy whose body had been handed to Kandil and Haniyeh was killed along with a young man earlier Friday when an Israeli missile struck close to their homes in the town of Jebaliya near Gaza City, relatives said. The area near the boy's home showed signs that a projectile had exploded there, with shrapnel marks in the walls of surrounding homes and shattered kitchen windows. But neighbors said security officials quickly took what remained of the projectile, making it impossible to verify who fired it. Kandil's visit came after a night of fierce exchanges. Overnight, the military said it targeted about 150 rocket-launching sites as well as ammunition warehouses, bringing to 450 the number of sites struck in the three-day operation. Militants unleashed dozens of rocket barrages overnight, setting off air-raid sirens throughout an area that is home to some 1 million Israelis. Early Friday, 85 missiles exploded within 45 minutes in Gaza City, sending black pillars of smoke towering above the coastal strip's largest city. The military said it was targeting underground rocket-launching sites. One missile flattened sections of the Interior Ministry, which oversees Hamas security forces, leaving a huge pile of rubble. Another hit an uninhabited house belonging to a senior Hamas commander. Those strikes, together with an attack on a generator building near Haniyeh's home, suggested that Israel was expanding its offensive beyond military targets. Ten-month-old Haneen Tafesh was killed Thursday when flying shrapnel from an air attack on a field next to her family's shack struck her in the head. "What did she do? Did she fire any rockets?" her 23-year-old father, Khaled Tafesh, asked as he waited outside the Shifa hospital morgue, waiting for the funeral of his only child to begin. Israel and Hamas had largely observed an informal truce since a devastating Israeli incursion into Gaza four years ago, but rocket fire and Israeli airstrikes on militant operations continued sporadically.
Here it comes! Hamas fires first rocket aimed at Jerusalem November 16, 2012 - GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) — Hamas rocket squads aimed at Jerusalem for the first time Friday, along with commercial hub Tel Aviv, showing off their expanded reach as Israeli airstrikes pounded the Palestinian territory for a third day. The overall death toll rose to 30 — 27 Palestinians and three Israelis. CLICK ME TO READ MORE! of late I have found myself pondering the future with a dreaded series of thoughts seeming to return with the daily news of, wars and rumors of wars, famine's, outbreaks of new disease's, earthquake's, the growing number of threats from near miss comets, asteroids, solar flares,, a growing total disregaurd of GOD and HIS law or a great falling away..... sssooooooo in view of the recent events and the direction of laws being passed every day. I believe we are fast aproaching the day when you will be put in a life and death choice spoken of in BIBLE prophecy. the choice of weather to take the mark of the beast or be tortured and killed for refusing it.. the only other option is to flee from society's comforts and services to live in the wilderness of the country... it will be fairly easy to determine if it is indeed the mark of the beast by one simple test........... if you can not buy, or sell, or work, with out it .......... presto-changeoh- rangeoh-rue.... thats it.... so now to my question???? would you go along to get along, take the right to work mark, hoping the BIBLE is wrong, and just a book of bedtime stories told to children to lull them to sleep.. would you rather flee to the wilderness and be there to possably help the others who have fled from the dark force's, maybe witness to and help them find the LORD... would you chose to be a martyr, by standing firm in refusing it to the death , and earn a martyr's crown and white robe in heaven??? oh yeh, one more thing the chosen methode of execution is beheading......( note ) there have been rumores of mass qantitys of guillotines being produced and bought by governments around the world, but as yet I have not been able to confirm that as fact.. however that would be a most horrific thing to be forced to watch as you waited in the line for your last chance to accept/refuse the mark.. I would love to list more options but there are no other choice's but there are none,,,,, also by no means is any answer given here a factor or proof as to just what anyone will do if put to the test.. upto and untill you are standing in the line of death it's impossable to know for sure...
That's a wild one KC. This reminds me of a VHS series I had (before it got run over...another story) that was done in the 70's by Mustard Seed Productions. Have you seen them? The people face the guillotines, which was disturbing for sure! I posted a vid on the guillotines on another thread. I always thought that the devil will say you can have anything you want and all you want if you give your allegiance to him. If you go along with this, your life could end the next minute and you are burnt toast in hell. I would rather face life being headless...realize I am going to go out sooner or later and this is how it will be. Having no mark...you can't buy or sell reminds me when I don't figure my balance correctly and am turned down at Home Depot. checkout. No mark, no goods...I know the feeling. I would think that anyone on the fence, regarding their beliefs, should remember your post and posts of others and not chance their eternity on temporal gratifications, as it isn't worth it. I am going to stand firm and not give in to the mark but I may try to vanish into the great outdoors before handing over my head.
I would flee into the wilderness, and if I was caught, I would chose to become a martyr, because I will never take the Mark of the Beast. Scripture says, those who refuse the Mark will be imprisoned for 10 days, and then beheaded. About the beheading...I would just close my eyes and say, "Lord, take me, I'm ready!"
as I am setting here in my warm house with plenty of food and water, no one coming in every 2 hour's to beat the hell out of me for 10-15 minutes while telling me it will all stop if I just take the mark. yeh I say never, and like to think I could hold out for the 10 days.. however after talking to guy's who came home from the prisoner of war camps in viet-nam, and how they could break the will of even the strongest men. how after a week of no food, and only a cup of water evry other day, and then the beatings, they, you, me, anyone would say/do anything to make it stop... I would take the option of running to hide... counting on the promise of protection and provision in the place our LORD has told us HE would make for those who flee to the mountians/wilderness....
