I stayed up all night and just finished reading Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James.

What a piece of CRAP! Now that I finished, I'm pissed that I read it. Horrible ending!

Although nothing I could say would spoil it worse than reading it. Now I know why there are THOUSANDS of bad Reviews. And I understand why the bad Reviews said there was NO plot! It fools you for awhile, until the end. There truly is no plot. Terrible writing too.

There's nothing erotic or sexy about it. It's about S & M (Sadism/Masochism). Just endless crappy sex scenes (about 2/3rds of the book) that were written by an amateur in the bedroom.

This book is on the BestSeller List! That fact reflects how badly society has deteriorated!

How come the book and author are so popular? I heard they will be making a movie and all that based on the book. I wish I could come up with a crappy idea and get rich over it.

I have heard it is just basically Porn, you can get the same experience renting a porn on the internet or watch cinemax late at night. Not that i would know of course.

True! Well, I just found out that Fifty Shades of Grey is a Trilogy, so that explains the ending. The basics of the story intrigued me, it kept me interested. But the style of writing and overuse of phrases, such as her "inner goddess" and a number of other phrases ("down there" and her "sex" were used to reference her lower female anatomy) was ridiculous. It sounded as if a teenager wrote it. And a 27-year-old self-made BILLIONAIRE who was expert at numerous things, i.e. helicopter pilot, pianist, etc. and who rarely worked was ridiculous. If they took out the porn, the story would have been a lot better. I'm not against erotica in a story, but this was porn and poorly written. It says "erotic and sexy" but it was certainly none of that.

It was also very obvious to me that the main character, Anastasia, was taken from Bella's character in the Twilight Series, as were other characters in the story.

Exactly! Today's Bestsellers would be thrown in the garbage if they had been introduced years ago. I read the Twilight Series...Nothing but BAD FAN FICTION! They had a very good Director for the movies, because he took out the best parts and strengthened the weak parts...and I did enjoy the movie versions. The last 2 books in the series had ridiculous story lines, as is apparent in the last 2 movies. I laughed when I saw the most recent movie in the Series on the screen. The Twilight Series was very, very poorly written, LOTS of unnecessary dialogue and it was grueling to read, because it was so boring.

If they took all the junk out of the Twilight Series, they could have had 2 better books in the instead of 4 crappy ones.

I finished reading the "Fifty Shades" Trilogy a couple of days ago. Loved 20% of it...Hated 80% of it. I wouldn't recommend it.

I will spare making a list of things I didn't like as it would be very long...except on the topic of the sex. I didn't like the kinky S&M sex scenes that the author infers is love-making. They were written by a very poor sexpert. It was like being force-fed NON-STOP imitation ice cream (ice milk)...YUK! Sex, sex, sex at every turn, the same scenes over, and over, and over, and over again with a little variance.

I know how to write really sexy romantic love scenes. I'm an expert at it...literally....and James totally missed the mark. The redudancy and poor quality of the 'Fifty' sex scenes made reading the novels GRUELING! They were so bad that I finally had to just skip over them.

I did really enjoy the very last part of the book, which was written from Fifty's perspective. It was very funny and I laughed all the way through it.
