I can get two whole chickens for that, and change back in my pocket. More nutrition per dollar.
Interesting, you can get two chickens for 8$? Did that go up the last 10 years?
About the same here.
One chicken approx 1,5kg/3lb about 3,60€/4.23$
Porks about 4€/4,70$ a 1kg/2lb
Beef 13€/15.27$
Fish and shellfish is relatively cheap and abundant here, coastal region.
The Publix equivalent supermarket here has fresh fish. Fishmongers all over the place.
pescado.jpg thats a pic of one.
so it takes up storage that I need
Anthropology is a b****.
They don't do that much storage here. It is too hot.
You go walk to one of the 2 supermarkets in your reach (200 m) almost every other day.
No biggy to go and buy dinner for just one day.
No giant freezers and normal sized fridges.:ROFLMAO:
No texas size packages.
Almost forgot all those tiny diferences between america and europe.
Behaviour is much different.

May I ask how much is a loaf of bread where you live?

Mouth watering. Where's those recipes I mentioned? Be creative, or you look like you don't know what you're doing in the post-writing business.

Lazy dinner
Sausages (brats/butifara) with potatoe salad and stuffed eggs
I prefer horseradish and sweet german mustard with it.

Nope I didn't.
But I do sometimes.
Casings are always some kind of secret ingredient in the food industry.
Some conspiracy is going on there.
I usually have to order them from the internet.
There is some kind of you-cant-make-your-own-food (<-exaggeration) law here so butchers can't sell them to you.
Crazy
