Re: GOD:True or false Then I say it's one of them is right. ;) G-d doesn't wear clothes. The depictions of G-d that you have seen are artist renditions based off of their beliefs and preconceptions. Yeshua, who was G-d in the flesh, did of course wear the clothes of the time period that He lived in. Earth is the domain of the devil. We sold ourselves into bondage when Eve committed the first sin and Adam followed suit. G-d can, of course, influence matters on Earth, but ultimately we suffer the price of our own imperfection. You also have to take into account that for G-d, this is only the beginning. The suffering we go through here on Earth is temporary. Death is only the doorway to new life, if you choose it. When I die, it will be a sad day for those I leave behind, but a joyous day for me, because I will be with my Heavenly Father for all eternity. So death does not have to be a sad thing for G-d. Finally, and this goes into your next question a little bit; we are special in the fact that we were given free will. We can choose to end a lot of the suffering that happens in this world, but unfortunately our inherintly flawed natures usually keep that from happening. Like I said above, part of what makes us special is the fact that we have free will. We can choose what to eat, where to sleep, who to love. And that's what G-d wants from us, our unconditional love. If we knew for a fact that He existed, we would love Him. If we ever saw Him, we would love Him. Not because we wanted to, necessarily, but because it's inevitable. G-d wants us to come to know and love Him through faith, which is the ultimate form of love. Because we're sinful, we can't be in G-d's presence directly, because it would kill us. He can't just come down and say 'hello', because we would all perish at the sight of Him. The same could be said for any 'beginning' theory. How did the universe come into existence without a creator? There had to be some catalyst. What created the particles that caused the 'big bang'? Did they just always exist? You said that they could not. G-d exists outside of the dimensions of time and space. He created those dimensions; he is not subject to them. He doesn't live for all eternity because he will exist for all time; for Him there is no time.
