Is Chupacabra real?

What do you think? Is Chupacabra real, or could it be:

- a dog with mange that eats chickens
- a fox or a wolf that eats chickens

I think it is some sort of animal, not a supernatural being with powers. There could be multiple types of animals in the wild that eat chickens.

This article is another case of a dog with Mange being called the Chupacabra. Man, I hope I spelled that right.

I agree. There are documented reports of animals eating other animals blood. There are vampire bats. I think a lot of folklore started from something and over time became a cult following with constant additions of theories to explain said creature, which sometimes presents rather silly theories where creatures are almighty, magical creatures capable of shape-shifting.

I personally believe this legend came from vampire bats. Bats on the other hand have played a lot in folklore.
