The precipitant in the reaction above is calcium carbonate - probably in the form of aragonite.
You can ingest this safely, and you can also get it from eating ground up sea shells or pearls.
Nothing magical about it, but it's a reasonably good source of calcium, if you're lactose intolerant, I suppose.
It's physically safe to take it, but mentally, it's not really a good idea to fool yourself into thinking it will somehow make you special.

Diatomaceous earth and sea shells are the same thing. You'd be better off by far eating the reasonably pure calcium carbonate made in the video.
But stick with shells/CaCo3.
Don't proceed to eating clay or humus.
