minuteman project and Waco type events thread Cathartic, indeed. The immense seas of people flowed so beautifully through the streets. Chants of "TWO MORE MONTHS" as repeated by Michael More during the RNC speech by McCain. Those losers spewing superslanted rhetoric and pulling the wool over the sympathetic republicans eyes. How nice that they asked everyone to put aside their political differences and rally around the war. I can tell you that the sea of people somewhere between 100,000 (the NYPD estimate) and 500,000, (the now generally accepted presstimate) that cascaded past Madison Square Garden for over four hours will NEVER rally behind this war and do NOT and will NOT hear the rhetoric, backgrounded by the horrible attacks on 9/11 as a call to action, but a fleecing. It was cathartic because of how incredibly peaceful it was. How many people just marching, and screaming, and crying and pumping their fists. "No War For oil". "My Son Died For Lies" so many slogans, so many people, so many together to proclaim their distrust, and dislike for the bushco regime. I was blown away, and overwhelmed with tears and love. And the police were not as embarassingly present as it appeared they were in Boston. They were with the marchers, sympathetic and caring. I'm sure many of you may have seen the news where the black bloc lit a paper dragon float, a/la the chinese new year parade on fire in front of the MSG. Idiots. So I didn't get arrested. In fact, I didn't come anywhere near a cop at all, and we had a great time bonding together. I met so many people and I even pulled some of the grass out of the great lawn and I have it. PM me your addresses if anyone wants to get centimental about it. I didn't carry a sign, and that was okay, I didn't have it together enough to, but it didn't matter. The thing I think aside from how incredibly peaceful it all was was that for every 1000 people there maybe was only one pro kerry sign. It was really just all anti-bush. Everyone wants him out, but not everyone is sure they want Kerry in. I only hope that doesn't ruin the election for us. Thanks everyone for your shows of support. This was definitely one of the most amazing things I've ever done in my life and I'm glad I could share it with you all too and represent the TTF in the march on MSG. Incrdible. Cathartic.
