Your not so typical "phantom hound" that isa well known in the area of Norfolk and in other parts of East-Anglia. The beast's name derives from the Anglo-Saxon "sceocca", meaning "Satan". The shuck is said to be as large as a year-old calf; black in coloor(hence the alternative name "Black shuck", with enormous yellow eyes that glow errily in the darkness. Legend has it that anyone who is unfortunate enough to meet this "phantom hound" is destined to die within a year of the encounter. (Private papers)
