I wonder if the current topic has to do with the terminator death and its implications. It seems to be as radical a thought as the belief in the beyond. Suppose the terminator death was the only thing for one to consider. One will be given at least two possible alternatives= enjoying the present moment in worldly pleasures while there's nothing else to long for. =stop contributing to society since no reward is to be expected. But that has never been what society had in mind for us in the beginning. So, it invented a variant form of creeds that includes the faith in the beyond with all its blessings as reward and threats of damnation as punishment. The duplicity of societal ways is really incredible!
The expectation of death can also nurture ambitions for anyone who cannot take this world of repetition any more - unrealistic expectations perhaps, but positive to them since there's nothing else in sight.

'Can you be thinking and talking which is a not a past, not a future?'
No, even the words that one makes use are products of knowledge, had already been conceptualized by someone in the past and assembled in dictionaries and encyclopedia. One might as well remain silent though one's subconscious mind will keep on working out problems-it is not a manifest thought stream and one will probably be in the right as one insists one is not thinking about anything- but who can be really sure of that? Thoughts generally will be always associated with the past, they pop out of a source called 'the store house of impressions' in the unconscious. The future notion will be always seen as a projection of one's desires, colored by those referred impressions supported by the ego that often identifies oneself with anything that might happen to oneself.

We've got no perceptive insight into the death condition since we haven't got into it yet. The theme of death recurs throughout some of my writing. I have never thought it (death) to be a big deal as any pedagogic method into trying and unveil the subtleties of perception and all the intricacies of consciousness. It is really though to extricate yourself from the situation- the real challenge to teach the mechanism of consciousness (if it ever has any mechanism) to someone who has come into the classroom with a distorted idea on death-(with all the horror films seen and what TV has always put on for us).
And people tend to confuse things so much they might pretend to have understood what you had in mind and finally be found dead somewhere as a suicide. There must be some other method or technique or whatever to teach people consciousness without making use of the image of death. Death can be actual to the one who is dying, not for us who will remain wondering.

Someone had seen him the day before. He had told him he was going on a long long journey. The couple would go together. The couple decided to set out the long journey together. Somehow they had been trying to send friends a message, but then friends couldn't get it. How could it end it up that way? There had been rumors they had taken poison together-but the govmn. had forbidden autopsy-that's in order to respect their privacy. Some govmns. do not like autopsy. 'Poor girl, so young and such a nice companion.' People wondered what could had been so bad to make them do that.
He used to read a biography of a suicide poet. He would carry Montaigne on him wherever he went- He had Montaigne from head to toe, one could read his mind.
'Now everything's in order
The eternal tranquility in place
That which is destroyed is
In complete union
With the world
Become only he
Who is torn to pieces
Towards perfection'.

He had believed Montaigne was right, the suicide poet was right. It is a self-fulfilling wish.
That's why people that I think we'd better find some other way to investigate into the unknown without having to 'knock at the death's door'.
Sorry, i don't take suicide as solution to anything.

On Death and Dying-

Your body gets banged up...and sometimes you die sooner...later you die anyway...

There is a process by Buddha that would reduce the issues...but with your Free Will, you do not care the reduction in pain.

Our purpose for the spirit is to learn new items every vacation here...the only time, spirit got messed up is during massive genocide by Hitler....So, Heaven will make sure this would not happen again.

Otherwise enjoy your vacation...but careful what you think under the free will...
