thank you pegii the parts are ok i used expensive high quality capacitors and the diodes i used are 400 volts at 6 amps and the potentiometers i used are the 500vdc ones from radio shack i see the ones in your stm are the basic ones easier to get and the wiring for the potentiometers only 2 terminals on each was used and not 3 like in the circuit schematic i built mine from from on the internet, thankyou i will study it more the capacitor values are confusing as the way they put them down ill just have to convert them so ill know if they are the same as the ones im using which is 1.0uf

looks like i just have to make a slight modification to the potentiometer wiring in the 2 stm units only by the looks of it
