Tempus Edax Rerum is a quote John Titor has made. It means that "Time will devour all things" Any insight on this little quote we have here?

Time devours things. Take lost civilizations for example. At the apex of their glory, they were hustling and bustling. They were gleaming and new. But as time drew on, they died out, their great cities either reduced to rubble or are eroded, cracked and crumbling.

Take us. Over time we age, eventually we wither and die. Time devours us.

It is a Latin phrase. Military units all over the world use Latin for their motto.
U.S. Marines use "Semper Fidelis" which means "Always Faithful"
Since John claims to be part of a U.S. military unit called Temporal Reconnaissance, it makes sense that "Time Devours All Things" would be a good motto for that unit.
Roman poet Ovid (Publius Ovidius Naso 43 BC to 18 AD) wrote "Time Devours All Things". It was in a poem called "The Teachings of Pythagoras".

In the philosophy chronicled by Carlos Castaneda, at the end of life there is something called the Eagle which devours all the consciousness leaving the plane of the living. The goal of a warrior is to figure out the secret of moving past the Eagle without being eaten. Time devours all things. So does the Eagle... almost all things ;)
