Adjust your compass now: the North Pole is migrating to Russia
Movement of the magnetic north is causing problems for aviation, navigation and wildlife:

The Link: Adjust your compass now: the north pole is migrating to Russia - Science - News - The Independent

It sounds unlikely but it's true: the magnetic north pole is moving faster than at any time in human history, threatening everything from the safety of modern transport systems to the traditional navigation routes of migrating animals.

Scientists say that magnetic north, which for two centuries has been in the icy wilderness of Canada, is currently relocating towards Russia at a rate of about 40 miles a year. The speed of its movement has increased by a third in the past decade, prompting speculation that the field could be about to "flip", causing compasses to invert and point south rather than north, something that happens between three and seven times every million years.

Already the phenomenon is causing problems in the field of aviation. Tampa International airport in Florida has just spent a month renaming its three runways, which in common with those at most US airports are identified using numbers that correspond to the direction, in degrees, that they face on a compass. "Everything had to be changed; it was a huge project," Brenda Geoghagan, a spokeswoman for the airport, said.

The current rate of magnetic north's movement away from Canada's Ellesmere Island is throwing out compasses by roughly one degree every five years, prompting the US Federal Aviation Administration to re-evaluate runway names across the country every five years. Similar changes were recently made to runways at Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach.

Geologists believe that magnetic north pole (which is different from the true North Pole, the axis on which the Earth spins) moves around due to changes in the planet's molten core, which contains liquid iron. They first located it in 1831, and have been attrying to follow its progress ever since.

Records indicate that the pole's location barely moved in the early decades, but in about 1904, it began tracking north-east at a rate of about nine miles a year. That speed increased significantly from about 1989, possibly because of a "plume" of magnetism deep below ground. The pole is now believed to be heading towards Siberia at about 37 miles each year. "Earth's magnetic field is changing in time. And as far as we know, it has always been changing in time," geophysicist Jeffrey Love of the US Geological Survey in Colorado told Discovery News, which investigated the issue last week.

GPS systems, which rely on satellites, have replaced compasses as the means by which the majority of professional navigators orientate themselves. But compasses are still valuable, and are widely used by hikers and other amateur map-readers. In some environments, such as underwater or beneath ground, which cannot be reached by satellite signals, they remain the only option. The oil industry, which uses magnets to determine which angle it should drill into the earth, needs to keep track of the exact location of magnetic north.

Birds that fly south for the winter, along with migratory sea creatures, could face confusion. Long-living animals, such as whales and turtles, may in future be required to recalibrate their navigational instincts.

Despite the cost and inconvenience of altering runway names, not to mention the indignity of losing magnetic north to Russia, inhabitants of North America stand to benefit from the changes in at least one respect: it will give them more opportunities to observe the aurora borealis.

No one can predict the impact of "polar reversal", during which magnetic north and south reverse, since one hasn't happened for 780,000 years, the longest stable period in the past 5 million years. Some geologists think we could be about to find out, though: they believe that the current changes to magnetic north could be the early stages of a "flip". But Mr Love says we shouldn't be too concerned. "Reversals typically take about 10,000 years to happen," he said. "And 10,000 years ago civilization did not exist. These processes are slow, and therefore we don't have anything to worry about."

FINALLY ! It all ties together.

Strange animal deaths starting last year…. global uptick in earthquakes…. weather patterns shifting / changing noticeably …. compasses showing variances …. airports changing their runway alignment …. sun rising early in Greenland …. record snow over Russia/Alaska …. north pole shifting …. gravity and moon anomalies…

And now this latest story — the USDA confirms that indeed WARM LATITUDES have shifted north — what once was the climate of New Orleans Louisiana to North Florida is now the Climate of South Missouri to North Carolina !!! Plants will be able to live in these warmer new climates developing… thus some tropical species will thrive in temperate zones.
This is HUGE news!!!

In my opinion — this all can now be put together into one narrative — THE EARTHS MAGNETIC POLES HAVE SHIFTED .. this is not wild conspiracy talk .. it is now being confirmed by stories like this USDA announcement.

Here is my most recent post from two weeks ago — showing that that NORTH POLE HAS MOVED to Russia:
1/11/2012 — North pole shifts towards Siberia — warmer latitudes have shifted NW | DUTCHSINSE = SINCEDUTCH

Here is the screenshot from my article 2 weeks ago — proving the north pole has shifted towards Russia:

This “new pattern” of severe weather, mild winter, and earthquake unrest will continue as long as the magnetic Poles are in a large state of Flux.

USDA releases new planting zone map

Camelias, a New Orleans trademark, staking out in North Carolina and higher latitudes?

It’s true, gardening experts say, and expect similar oddities to represent the new norm.

It is now safe to plant new species in many parts of the nation, according to a new government map released Wednesday showing new growing guidelines for the first time in decades. A gradual northward warming trend makes it possible to plant trees and other perennials that would have perished in colder zones.

The “hardiness” zones, the gospel to the the nation’s 82 million gardeners that are printed on the back of seed packs and catalogs, are based on average minimum temperatures.

“It is a good thing the government has updated the map,” says Woodrow Nelson, director of marketing communications for the Arbor Day Foundation. “Our members have been noticing these climate changes for years and have been successfully growing new kinds of trees in places they wouldn’t grow before.”

For example, Pennsylvania’s growing zone was considered risky for Southern Magnolias, according to the old government map dating to 1990. But the new map, based on updated weather statistics from 1996 to 2005, puts Pennsylvania, like much of the Northeast, in a warmer growing zone.

Catherine Woteki, an undersecretary of the Department of Agriculture, which issued the new guidelines, cautioned against reading too much into the changes. “We do not think the plant hardiness zone methodology is appropriate for making comments on climate change,” she says.

Might gardeners being going out on a limb? Steve Carroll, director of public programs at the State Arboretum in Virginia, advises gardeners to check with their local nurseries or a university extension program for advice.

“There’s definitely a changing climate,” says Charlie Nardozzi, a gardening consultant in northern Vermont. “But that doesn’t mean we won’t have a harsh winter again that could kill all their plants.”

Pole Shift Data Cover-up – 2012

The Link: Pole Shift Data Coverup – 2012 (Modern Survival Blog)

The NOAA National Geophysical Data Center has updated (revised – massaged) their magnetic north pole-shift positional data and has projected the location of the pole through 2015. The pole shift, if you will, continues to race along in the same direction since it dramatically accelerated back in the mid 1990′s. But…

NOAA made some significant and apparently linear changes to the pole location data going back to the years 2001 through 2010. The most noticeable result of the changes that they made was an overall linear slow down of the shift during the past decade, although still currently high at 30 miles per year. They have projected positional data through 2015 and have slowed the pace of movement each subsequent year from 30 miles (2012) to 24 miles (2015).

No apparent reason for the change was listed. A 10 year change nonetheless! Given the fact that they suddenly changed their previously posted data of the previous decade to indicate a slower pole-shift progression, they are now able to project a slowing trend through 2015. If it were not for changing their own data, they would not have been able to project this trend through 2015. It is beginning to look like the USGS, who when they change their earthquake magnitude numbers, they always (95% of the time) revise them downward. The revisions made are always in a ‘less alarming’ direction.

The following map shows the position of the magnetic north pole, and its shift since 1977. Read here for the past 400 years of magnetic north pole shift. Clearly it can be seen where the annual pole location begins to spread during the mid 1990′s when the acceleration rapidly increased.

The following image plot shows the comparison between the original magnetic north pole locations and now the new revised locations (2001 onward) from NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration).

While this could be the result of a NOAA factoring error of some sort, one wonders why it wasn’t caught at any other time between 2001 and today. It took 10 years to find it? Hmmm…

Or, could this be a coverup to slow the progress of the messaging from the pole shift advocates out there?

I suppose we won’t know the truth until the pole flip.

Note this author does not know for certain if NOAA themselves changed the numbers, or if the data set is from another source prior to NOAA processing. We also do not know the details why the change, as it is not apparently publicized. This is simply an observation and opinion.

North Pole Earthquake – Impending Doom?

May 26, 2012, Submitted by: Ken

A highly unusual earthquake has just shook the North Pole. On May 26 at 03:27 UTC, a magnitude 5.0 at a depth of 6.2 miles occurred just 270 miles from the true north pole, the axis from which the earth spins. Just as interesting, 2 minutes prior, a magnitude 4.6 earthquake shook in the same region. In other words, the earthquakes were getting stronger. Could this be a foreshock to an event even larger? And what is the significance of the earthquake occurring so close to the north pole?

Historically, there have been earthquakes there before, according to a USGS historical chart, but they appear to have been fairly small. A magnitude 5 event is not small and is not large. I just find it interesting to see it up there in an unusual location, while wondering what’s going on with the stresses of the earth’s crust.

The magnetic north pole has been ‘shifting’ rapidly in the direction indicated in the image above. Who’s to say that it’s not somehow interconnected? It could all be coincidental.

It could be but I doubt it... THe perponderence of evidence really seems to suggest pole shift... and I think you are right.. that no government will be honest with the people about it until AFTER it happens.

I have been following the movement of magnetic North and magnetic South for about 6 to 7 years now. Everything on the Internet stopped plotting the movement for each year after 2001. All information from 2002 through 2012 and beyond is not available. The way things are going the Magnetic North Pole will be in Russia in 30 or 40 years. Chicago, Illinois will be about where Dallas, Texas was in 2000. United States are starting to become warmer in the winter months and shorter winters with little or no snow in places that normally has a lot of snow.

The magnetic South Pole is also heading north; Antarctica is heading towards the equator. Asia and parts of Europe are starting to see severe climate changes the winters are getting colder and longer.

All of the governments of this planet: refuse to speak publicly about the climate changes due to pole reversals or magnetic North moving south and magnetic South moving north. I am not sure if the magnetic poles movements are going to cause a pole shift of true North or the axis the earth spins on.

One interesting fact the ring of fire in the Pacific is becoming more active with earthquakes than before in recent years. I believe the oceans of the world could rise quite quickly when you factor in Iceland heading south and Antarctica heading north the snow and ice melt would also be accelerated. How much and how soon is really the question: the surplus Ice water pouring into the oceans of the world.

Well their are a few factors around that .... For one the amount of water at our poles looks like more than what is really there.

Water expands when frozen.

And then their is the fact that Antarctica is almost all land.

So what you're really looking at is the north pole and its frozen freshwater ocean spilling into the world.

I really don't think it will be all that great... I think the earth corrects itself in cycles... You mention Russia as the new pole spot ... That ... I think , that would make it the New Antartica or "bottom pole mass" the other pole would move into the open water.

I suspect anyways...

When North Poles Shift or Disappear

by Evelyn Browning Garriss
December 9, 2013

Your rating: None Average: 4.8 of 5 (5 votes)
Even as Arctic air is freezing us this December, the North Pole is moving farther away!

If you think that is puzzling to you, imagine how bewildering it is for Santa to have his workshop racing towards Russia.

Of course, it is not the real poles that are moving; it is the North and South Magnetic poles. The North Pole is the top of the axis that the solid Earth spins around. The Magnetic North Pole is the axis that the dense liquid core of the Earth spins around. It is currently in Northern Canadian waters and is speeding north at about 6 miles (10 km.) a year!

Moving%20North%20Pole.png

The North Magnetic Pole has been in Canada for hundreds of years but is now moving towards Russia. Enlarge this image.

Source: Wikipedia, by Tentotwo based on data from National Geophysical Data Center

The actual North Pole is stable. What moves is the axis of the Earth’s iron core. The spinning of this core generates the Earth’s magnetic field. There is enough pressure at the center of the earth that the core is an incredibly hot liquid. Floating inside the liquid is the spinning iron core.

Earth%27s%20core%20and%20the%20magnetic%20field%281%29.gif

The sloshing liquid core of the Earth moves the magnetic poles. Source: NASA

Liquids slosh. Earthquakes and meteor strikes cause the liquid core to ripple and slosh around, changing the poles. Sometimes whirlpools form, creating multiple north and south poles. There were times when the Magnetic North Pole slowly moved all the way down to where the South Pole is today! (This did not affect the actual rotation of the Earth or the planet’s living animals.)

Earth’s magnetic pole reversals are slow, averaging one flip every 450,000 years, and take between 1000 to 10,000 years to make the flip. Compare this to the sun, which also has a dense spinning core and magnetic poles. The sun’s poles flip every 11 years!

solar%20poles.jpg

The sun’s magnetic poles flip every 11 years. Source: NASA

In fact, the sun is in the middle of a very weird flip. The North Pole finished changing and is now the South Pole. But its South Pole isn’t changing giving the sun two South Poles!

If Santa has problems here on Earth, chasing the (magnetic) North Pole towards Russia, imagine the problems he would have on the sun with no North Pole (and a scorched workshop)! Mixing science and fantasy would make the Jolly Old Elf flip out faster than the magnetic poles!

★ Huge – Pole Shift Uncovered. North Pole Split!! ESA (European Space Agency) Releases Bombshell!!
Monday, June 30, 2014 1:27

Magnetic Pole Shifts are a hot topic in the Alternative News Community. With an increasing number of recent Earthquakes and unexplainable storms in diverse places, one has to wonder what are the reasons for these tremendous changes within our Earth. Magnetic Pole Shifts are at the forefront that conversation. Many accredited scientist have attested that a guaranteed pole shifting would occur within our lifetime. With this being one of the most significant events that humanity could ever experience, you can’t help but to wonder why the mainstream media NEVER speaks of this. If scientist have spent MILLIONS of tax payer dollars on the research of Magnetic Pole Shifts, we should be able to get some decent mainstream attention and answers on their findings.

In this Youtube you will be presented with clear and concise facts explaining recent information released by the European Space Agency. The Youtuber that presents this information is well versed with knowledge of Magnetic Pole Shifts. The fact that he was able to see this video for what it truly is, is a gift to us all. Watch the video with an open mind and do a little research on Magnetic Pole Shifts. This could be some of the most important information that you will want to get yourself educated on. (S.NORMAN)
