This frame-dragging effect warps spacetime in such a way that the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Light_cone" target="_blank">light cones</a> of objects in the cylinder's proximity become tilted, so that part of the light cone then points backwards along the time axis on a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minkowski_diagram" target="_blank">space-time diagram</a>.
