I think the creator of the video has been playing too many video games and needs to come back to reality. Most of those video games are fiction, a few science fiction. They take real world events and the inflate them into "what if scenarios"

Star Ocean? The US and China were allies (they are allies now) and then suddenly launch nuclear bombs at each other. Well that could happen. It could happen between any country, its just video game depicting a "what if" scenario and its hardly predicting the future.

He isn't being serious, it's just interesting. And yes, he probably plays too many video games considering his show is one of the most popular. They analyze games as a profession.
