Your favorite songs...original, then done by others

I always think about an original tune I like and then listen to it performed by others. Sometime I like the copied version better...thoughts or contributions. Include your favorite polka, disco, or rap...I have several in mind, can you beat me to it or do I have to have all the fun?...oh yes no black hole songs...please. Just pulling your chains



I did my share of smoking in the boys room...how 'bout you?

I assume by the "polka, disco, rap" you mean Weird Al? ;) lol He's awesome... Just about every song he makes is at the very least, good for a laugh... but, I'll post some covers I can think of off the top of my head:
-Down With the Sickness, by Richard Cheese, org. by Disturbed.
-Love Buzz, Nirvana, org. Shocking Blue.
- Cars, Fear Factory, org. Gary Numan.
-Last Kiss, Pearl Jam, org. J. Frank Wilson.
-Summer Breeze, Type O Negative, org. ? lol..
-Simple Man, Shinedown, org. LynrydSkynryd.
-I Only Wanna Be With You, Volbeat, org. Dusty Springfield.
-Careless Whispers, Seether, org. George Michaels(I think)
-Faith, Limp Bizkit, org ?
-I Shot the Sherriff, Eric Clapton, org. Bob Marely.
-Come Together, Aerosmith, org. The Beatles.
-The Man Who Sold the World, Nirvana, org. David Bowie...

There are so many covers these days, it's unreal...But what I don't like is when an artist will take jist the beat of an old song, and use it in their song, probably nothing to do with the original...seems like they don't respect the original artist's song when they do that... If/when I think of more, I'll post them... I'm curious to see what songs others will post... :)
