One of the political leaders in disguise i wonder
As the federal election is being called today.
"Oceanic Mystery Critter Runs For Office.......and Wins!"
It looks (to me) like a part of a larger figure of some sort that was somehow severed off
and then washed ashore. (??)
It IS Weird, though.

I think we are looking at the wrong end. The creature probably died giving birth. The mouth is at the other end.
I believe that what we are seeing is a puffed up, dead Ray of some sort.
They have a bony plate that serves as teeth which is visible in its mouth.
There are similarities of the mouth by looking at this picture of a live Ray.
The things tail was chewed off and has been dead for a bit.
If you poked it with a sharp stick....I wouldn't want to be anywhere near,
the resulting stench would probably topple a mountain.

Our 'Montauk Monster' looks like a very dead Ray to me.
