For magic training : Franz Bardon´s books (all available for free on the internet).

Or you are just trying to love unconditionally as a practice, that is the best beginning in positive magic, in my opinion. Inspirational books are the new testament for example.

I'm often reading sci-fi novels. I haven't read in a while, but I'm currently right in the middle of the Foundation series, it's awesome. There's a ton of awesome similar books or book series.
