Catholicism Is The Best Religion

Today I'm going to briefly explain why Catholicism is the best religion even though plenty of other religions would disagree. I'm not a values person. I'm a results person. For me it's not about the beliefs or the traditions of Catholicism. It is the results of good moral and ethical people generated from the religion of Catholicism. Not all Catholics are suddenly good people for being Catholic, but over time people have the greatest success of becoming better versions of themselves. I'd say from the Catholic world from traveling across my home country and other countries that 8/10 Catholics are good moral and ethical people. This also means all other religions need to do better at creating good moral and ethical people and Catholicism also has room for improvement.

I'm come across some bizarre thinking people that don't like Catholics or religions in general and they blame Catholics for killings over 150 years ago in a couple towns or cites. My response would be to them #1 it's not 150 years ago anymore, get with the times. It doesn't excuse what happened, but you can't be living in the past like that, which you weren't even alive then. #2 Catholicism is worldwide and the mentioned atrocities of the past were unfortunate, but it averages about 1/200,000 negative happenings which is so incredibly small at about 0.000005% being evil. It's just like the school shooting thing in the USA. There are over 130,000 schools and an average of 12 school shootings. 12/130,000 = 0.000009%. It so rare I don't understand the disconnect with mass hysteria and fear of it. Is it awful, yes. Is it something we should worry about every day, no.

I don't understand the brainwashing of people who hate or dislike Catholics over tragedies that are uncommon. How can one hate or dislike Catholics from such an extent? I just don't get it?

Your first statement there "Not all Catholics are suddenly good people for being Catholic, but over time people have the greatest success of becoming better versions of themselves"

If you need Church to be a better person then you simply are not a good person, if you need to be promised heaven or threatened with hell to behave then your nature isnt pure.

My issue with the Catholic church is it's ties to not only the elite, but the fact since being founded they have done nothing but evil while trying to wear a religious suit, there is over 4k documented cases of Catholic priests molesting children, they hide Nazi's by taking bribes of stolen goods from slaughtered jewish, lets not even get into the millions of Archives they have hidden and locked away no one can see, through history they have had people killed for not conforming to Catholicism.

I can go on for awhile why out of all religions Catholics and the Pope are easily the most corrupt and evil out of all religions. The only thing that rivals them is televangelists who prey on people for their own profit.

The religion conformity is a diversion for control of a human.

The idea of God for me is that its in everyone. Don't need to stand every week in a big hall and be told.

Everyone has their own opinions, thats fine.

As the above post state could go on about different aspects and whats has happened.

This old joke sums up the catholic religion in one swoop.

Aliens finally arrive on earth.
They come in peace and surprisingly , they speak English.

Obviously, all of the heads of government and religious leaders want to speak to the aliens so they set up a meeting with our new visitors. When it's the Pope's turn, he asks: "Do you know about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ?"

"You mean JC?", responds the alien. "Yeah, we know him! He's the greatest, isn't he? He swings by every year to make sure that we are doing ok".

Surprised, the pope follows up with: "He visits every year?! It's been over two millennia and we're still waiting for his SECOND coming!"

The alien sees that the pope has become irate at this fact and starts trying to rationalize. "Maybe he likes our chocolate better than yours?"

The pope retorts "Chocolates? What are you talking about? What does that have to do with anything?"

The alien says "Yea, when he first visited our planet we gave him a huge box of chocolates! Why? What did you guys do?"

I would agree there are some good people involved in this religion, they do good works, they believe and all that. But make no mistake, religions are evil, their purpose is to lie whilst capturing elements of higher truths, twist their meaning and remove peoples ability to connect with god. Some of them may have began as other things, noble things. But what you see now in these modern times is nothing but evil. Corrupted through and through. Some of the better ones don't even know it, but some, like in catholicism do know it and actively are working their evil through it.

British Kings like Henry the VIII added rules to Catholocism, like priests not being able to marry. Later, rules were added like disapproval of birth control. None of this is explicitly in the Bible. Also, the churches and Vatican filled with gold go against the entire "no idols" theme in the Bible. These are why I left the church. I have no religion now - just Christianity and the Bible. Secular relgions make up rules that don't exist.

Having said that, I do not "dislike" Catholics. They are still Christian. It's not their fault that nobody reset the rules.

I'd still be careful saying such and such is the "best" religion. Religion is a personal thing. What's good for you may not be good for another person. Each of us has to find our own path.

Yes absolutely, "my god is better than your god "
I was brought up as a Catholic & it is certainly not the 'best'.
Touting an opinion about one religion is better than another, is misguided &...well, we know how things go.

All Christian religions worship the same God. Can't say that about others, though, but one is asking for a heated argument by claiming their god is best. I agree.

I was raised baptist and married into Catholicism. Later I transitioned to contemporary non denominational. Later I bumped into a Pentecostal minister and he asked me to attend his church. During COVID many churches stopped meeting in person. So the local LDS congregation was still meeting. I visited to see what their church was like. They were reverent. Similar to the baptist setting I grew up with. They used the Bible in their teaching. Catholics use the apocrypha and the LDS uses Book of Mormon to explain events that took place during Jeremiah’s time in the Old Testament. Just like the pope of the Catholic Church the LDS church has a leader, prophet Nelson in Utah. I guess the LDS condemnation stems from early groups of LDS practicing polygamy. That’s not the accepted modern day LDS. I guess LDS may receive condemnation for other reasons. The SDA church is another denomination that many church goers have a problem with. The evolution of the church will continue to evolve. But it’s important to not forget the life of Jesus. Regardless of how you practice that remembrance and relationship.

I see it similar. There is a lot of disinformation. I think the best teaching in Christianity works like a guru teaching in Hinduism. You try to invoke the Holy Spirit or God and he should teach you what is wrong in your thinking process.

This heaven and hell stuff is from apocryphic texts as far as I recall. I did not find it in the bible. But they have somehow made it into the official teaching. So I dont know how I should judge these stuff.

I dont think that it is different in other religions. They spend a lot of money for social welfare. Maybe that is different where you live. It is different in other countries because some countries have no state-tax for believers. They have to beg for money.
