Earlier this month, unsubstantiated documents began circulating online that seemed to suggest the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Institute of High Energy Physics is partnering with the private Ruitai Technology Development Technology on something called the "Space-time Tunnel Generation Experimental Device."

QUANTUM TIME BOUNCE (03/04/2021) : Like Star Trek`s warp speed where the ship travels in a bubble and the ship never travels faster than light - like throwing ball to someone else while on a jet in flight, the ball never travels at hundreds of miles an hour - but space itself is warped and it moves with no speed universal limit while the ship is inside of it...long Gedankenexperiment there....but what if....you had a realm where something like a signal was sent at FTL speeds and you plucked it out into our world as it traveled along - could you do this fast enough or make this space/place long enough for the message to be received before it was sent : faster than light would travel? In the picture that light IS traveling at FTL speeds in THAT realm. It would be like using quantum tunneling where the data/particle, etc. gets to the other side at FTL speeds so for a brief moment it is not here in our reality but it took a short cut through `hyper-space` and reappeared in our world having traveled faster to get there than light would have. Continuing down the rabbit hole....the ship/particle/data leaves and goes somewhere and then reappears in our world in quantum tunneling. What if it does not go where. SAY to another dimension. But it goes when. So it leaves, bounces back in time hits and then bounces forward in time and reappears back in our world. Could you make it super bounce or get stuck like in the old game pong bouncing back and forth traveling further and further back in time before the bounce back to the present?

The Alcubierre drive, Alcubierre warp drive, or Alcubierre metric (referring to metric tensor) is a speculative warp drive idea based on a solution of Einstein's field equations in general relativity as proposed by Mexican theoretical physicist Miguel Alcubierre during his PhD study at the University of Wales, Cardiff, by which a spacecraft could achieve apparent faster-than-light travel if a configurable energy-density field lower than that of the vacuum (that is, negative mass) could be created.[1][2]

Rather than exceeding the speed of light within a local reference frame, a spacecraft would traverse distances by contracting space in front of it and expanding space behind it, resulting in effective faster-than-light travel. Objects cannot accelerate to the speed of light within normal spacetime; instead, the Alcubierre drive shifts space around an object so that the object would arrive at its destination more quickly than light would in normal space without breaking any physical laws.[3]
