We must specify that Gualandi told the legend of the water temple to Lionardo not knowing that Lionardo already knew this story in part since it was told by Piero Martelli during his stays at the Martelli house. On that occasion, the story was told after lunch and Lionardo kept the small Braccio Martelli, son of Piero, on his knees. The small Braccio Martelli had a silk dressing gown and moved on Lionardo's legs who felt very upset by those movements, almost excited ... But this is a story that I will never and ever tell !!!
Now I report what was written by chroniclers of the early 1700s on the discovery of the site in question during the construction of the church of Valle Benedetta.
The archaeological discovery, although it did not interrupt the work, had the effect of affecting Father Colombino Bassi, whose erudition and classical culture were sufficient to make him believe it convenient to bring to the court of Prince Ferdinando, who was currently in Livorno, the finds so fortunately found. Ferdinando greatly appreciated those objects, especially the crest of a singular workmanship, very light and thin and decided to bring it to Florence in his gallery-museum (see figure). As we can see there are some discrepancies between real history and legend. The truth must be sought in both hypotheses, equally fascinating. Besides, we know, sometimes reality even surpasses the legend. After a short stop in Colognole Lionardo and the hunter returned to Nugola, but first they passed through a nearby location called Castel Anselmo which Lionardo wanted to immortalize with a drawing to place it on his territorial map. Returning to Nugola, the two stopped among the remains of what remained of an ancient castle partially collapsed. Only an old tower stood as the only bulwark of a glorious past. Inside the ruined tower the hunter had set the traps to catch the wolves and the skins to dry. The old tower had become the headquarters of the hunter who used it for his purposes. At one point Lionardo, looking up towards the top of the tower, seemed to see a hooded figure almost as if he were a monk and immediately warned the hunter, but the hunter told Lionardo that nobody could access the tower because the staircase it had collapsed. Soon after, however, the hunter added that others from the place had seen a similar figure appear from the tower. A local legend claimed that the hooded figure was nothing more than the ghost of a wizard monk who had taken possession of the tower after he had destroyed his tower-mansion in Bibbona. Now the old castle of Nugola no longer exists, but in its place, centuries later, a splendid villa-castle was built: villa Traxler.

The coronavirus is simple. It is Mars or Sars. Nothing new. Just a public scare tactic during an election year (to persuade towards a socialist/ communist view. Well timed from China right,,,?). More harmful to infants and weakened immune systems. Take great care of these people.

For most it will be nothing more than being humanly sick on any given, inconvenient day.

I don't think Lightsolitaire is in the least interested in the story told by Little Doctor ,now it's just me and Tourist who have followed this discussion.

"The legend of the castle of Nugola"
Around the year 1000, the noble Tuscias built a fortification around the small village of Nugola. This structure later became a castle as in 1049 the Marquises Tuscia also had a sumptuous tower built there. A lost legend tells that in that tower, when the castle was abandoned, a magician settled who in order to maintain his anonymity covered the tower with a dense cloud, to the point that the inhabitants of the place could spot it, but in that area the fog was at home. For this reason the town of Nugola had earned numerous appellations: "Nubila, Nuvila, Nebula or simply Nuvola (cloud)". The curious thing is that to this day, after a thousand years, the magic of the magician still seems to produce its effects, since most of the inhabitants of Nugola, despite being born and raised in that place, do not know that it exists the Traxler villa, the former medieval castle. Even those who have moved to Nugola from other locations are unaware of the villa. Some of them will know this by reading these lines and will be very surprised by the veracity of my statements. Still looking at the tower of villa Traxler we can feel a shiver, the same shiver that Lionardo da Vinci felt when he looked at it on that distant day, which is not very far away. Everything returns, everything resurfaces. Even the events of Lionardo in the hills of Pisa, which seemed forgotten and canceled, have come to light. For too long they have been prey to oblivion, the time has come for these events to have their proper place in the history of these places. Places where the past is making a comeback, as well as wolves have returned to reclaim their hunting grounds.

Hi, along a street to Nugola can be watched the tower built on the place where an older and bigger tower was located in a past time.
It is said that the older tower had been built for a specific purpose; perhaps in case of a return of an hooded man. May be for a tall wizard ?
The actual tower is equal in form , a little larger than the older one that was thinner but of the same height.
Under the modern building, however, the ancient foundations still lie……..
People often speak about the fog that effectively takes shape all around down the fields the country of nugola during some season; it really looks like a cloud posed there to cut off Nugola at sight.
The tower can be watched only for a very few moments while driving due to trees on the hill that hide it almost.
