Communication between plants or flora and fauna

While tending to my ever growing bonsai collection i was musing over whether they talk to each other or communicate in some way. Which then led to me thinking the plants and animals interact how do they do so?

Could a human interact as well now that would be something, might actually be better than talking to humans

Anyone have experiences around this?

Plants are one of the first things I discovered when I was young.
