The concept was explained already. "These people are too brown to have made these things."
It stems from European bigotry upon encountering these cultures. It's not a 1940's thing.

Because of the time view of issues, it has everything to do with it.

"The time view of issues?"
That doesn't make the hypothesis any less racist, and as I stated in the other thread, pseudohistorical hogwash like this is quite current - are you aware that the white nationalists have appropriated the Solutrean hypothesis into their philosophy?
Also, there's this:
“The evolutionists say that man descends from monkeys. Yet who has ever seen a white monkey? Or a dark ape with curly hair such as the black race has?”

“Were the extraterrestrials able to opt between different races from the beginning? Did they endow different human groups with different abilities to survive in different climatic and geographical conditions?”

”Today it is assumed that primitive men had dark skins.”

“Was the black race a failure and did the extraterrestrials change the genetic code by gene surgery and then programme a white or a yellow race?”

“Nearly all negroes are musical: they have rhythm in their blood.”

“I quite understand that I am playing with dynamite if I ask whether the extraterrestrials ‘allotted’ specific tasks to the basic races from the very beginning, i.e. programmed them with special abilities.”

“I am not a racialist… Yet my thirst for knowledge enables me to ignore the taboo on asking racial questions simply because it is untimely and dangerous… why are we like we are?

“Once this basic question is accepted, we cannot and should not avoid the explosive sequel: is there a chosen race?”

That's Erik Von Daniken from his book "Signs of the Gods" in 1979.

Hi solder junkie:
What a teacher told me was that if your position is so weak that you have to demonize your opponent, you have already lost whatever you were arguing on.

Look Soldierjunkie, why don't you try to find some of these idiotic fringe claims about the ancient past that can't be construed as racist?

"Construed as racist"?

What a wonderful little piece of linguistic legerdemain. It even rolls off the tongue. It's a bullshit phrase of course, it sounds impressive and egalitarian and shit...but it is meaningless non the less. In fact, the phrase is actually a trick. Used to virtue signal on one hand and discredit the person or information in question on the other. It is a tactic used by the weak, disingenuous, douchey and people who really don't know anything about the topic they so desperately want to comment on.

It is a bullshit way for bullshit people to bullshit others. BECAUSE EVERYTHING CAN BE CONSTRUED AS RACIST IF THAT IS HOW YOU CHOSE TO VIEW THE WORLD!

Also, if something can be construed as racist then conversely it can be construed as not racist. So really it is is just a matter of opinion, right?

So? Hitler was a vegetarian, does that mean that vegetarianism is evil? Does that mean that vegetarianism is any less valid?

You sound like one of these Ultra-Liberals that are trying to get math banned in schools because it is racist?

HOLY SHIT!
