My prediction for january 2025 to july 2025.
America
After long delays with states counting votes by hand, Kamala Harris claims a slim victory after getting a larger than usual turnout among Democrats in the swing states. Trump expected polls to underestimate his fanbase turnout, but this time turnout gave Democrats the advantage despite loss in popularity because of not taking a stance regarding Israel and Palestine. Donald Trump had however learned some things from last time and used loyalists to turn over the college vote in a swing state after rejecting the outcome with support from the supreme court. Donald Trump is sworn in as the US president, but his running mate JD Vance thinks that Trump is worth more to him as a popular vegetable than his superior and decides to poison him just enough to give the vacant seat to the vice president. Trump feels sick and is declared unable to serve at the hospital while JD Vance becomes the president, quickly banning abortion in all states with the supreme court on his side. With new leaders appointed, Homeland Security and NSA are weaponised against dissent. After high ranking officials at the Department of Defence refuses to step down until an order is given by Kamala Harris, states have to choose which side they are on in a deadlocked conflict where both sides have nuclear weapons. JD Vance declares that a new nation has been born and reads their southern constitution live on television.
Europe
While Vladimir Putin is happy about having the USA out of the equation, he is still struggling to make any significant advances in Ukraine. Both armies are exhausted from lack of manpower and resources but Ukraine manage to block key supply routes by blowing up more bridges on Russian territory using guerilla tactics behind enemy lines. Then the Kerch bridge gets brown up by missiles that had been saved for the right time, bypassing Russian air defenses using high speed. A surprise attack from Krim's west coast with high civilian casualties leaves Russian strategic assets stranded without any more ammunition arriving. Russian morale drops when hearing the news and trenches are abandoned.
Asia
Xi Jinping tries to invade Taiwan during the chaos, but he has to invade before his navy is ready in order to surprise the weakened alliance. The PLA's navy make a rushed effort to invade Taiwan, but ship after ship gets taken out by submarines and sea drones. Taiwanese media begins to spread their word across China's mainland. Most Han Chinese scoff at the phamplets about Tiananmen Square as tired old propaganda from the enemy, but it is still enough to cause riots and protests. Narenda Modi decides to invade and annex a piece of the mountain border region while the PLA is busy elsewhere, as a symbolic show of strength after the previous humiliation. Xi Jinping feels the pressure and thinks of a way to end the disastrous Taiwan war without losing face, and propose a deal to unite the Republic of China with the People's Republic of China as one "democracy" with equal votes. Taiwan does not trust his deal, but Xi Jinping manage to appear as strong yet compassionate on the CCTV news reports and declares the war as over. Taiwan refuses to make a peace deal, so they remain technically at war.
Middle East
Iran secretly obtains a few nuclear missiles from Russia in exchange for many conventional mid-range missiles. Israel gets cut off from military supplies due to weapon hoarding in the divided USA. Benjamin Netanyahu is informed about the Iranian nukes and evaluates the possibility of stopping the installation by sending fighter jets, but his advisers warn about the consequences for the whole region of accidental detonation and they need all the weapons they have for defence after being cut off from the USA. Knowing that he can not keep fighting when both sides have nuclear deterrence, and that the Palestinian people can not trust him in times of peace, Benjamin Netanyahu resigns as the prime minister, triggering requests for a new election. A successful campaign from orthodox jews gains an unstable majority of parties wanting peace with Palestine. Some members of Hamas still want revenge for dead family members, but the new leaders manage to mostly hold the ceasefire with only a few exceptions.
