This is correct. There has been no hominid species that lasted a million years - as a single species. H. Erectus was around that long, but split off into several different species.I honestly hope we'll still be around in a million years as a species and civilization.
But we might not be, for all the reasons you can imagine.
Also, think about this. We weren't even there a million years ago. There's no garrantee we'll be there in another million years.
Just because we are where we are today, that doesn't stop evolution.
