Government Officials are Taking COVID-19 Vaccine on Television — What Does It Really Mean?

Sure looks like a vaccine. But what is really in there?

Ever since the super-rushed coronavirus vaccines were first announced to be on track for emergency authorization, there was already plenty of murmuring going on in conspiracy circles and the general population about whether the products of President Trump’s much-hyped Operation Warp Speed were simply too rushed to be trusted to be safe. Dr. Fauci and all the experts have tried to dispel this distrust by getting government figures at the highest levels to take the vaccine on camera. The concept, of course, is that you will see Mike Pence getting the vaccine and say, “Well, it must be safe after all.”

Former presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama are pledging to do the same, and even President-elect Joe Biden is saying he too will take the vaccine on Monday live on television to boost confidence in the vaccine.

Hold on just a minute…

Sometimes things just don’t pass the smell test. This is one of those times. A classic “while you were sleeping” moment.

With all that we don’t know about the vaccines at this point, there is no way the Secret Service or the government in general would even for one second entertain the notion of letting the President-elect get the vaccine. We are talking about people that are heavily guarded day in and day out and can hardly do anything publicly because of the security risk. And now, you are telling me that they will happily pump Mr. Biden full of the first COVID-19 vaccination to get emergency authorization and just roll the dice.

Of course not. You’ll see Joe Biden and quite possibly the others getting a shot of something on national television, but that hardly proves that they are really getting vaccinated.

Think about all the risks. Side effects? That’s just the tip of the iceberg. The Pfizer version of the vaccine is 90-95% effective. That is great and pretty much unprecedented in the field of vaccine creation and testing, but it still means that the vaccine will not work on 1 out of every 10 people. Just think, if Biden gets the vaccine and ends up with COVID-19 a couple weeks later, the confidence he was trying to instill will have just the opposite effect. Why try it? Much more likely, he is being shot a placebo for the camera with the promise that he will get the real thing eventually, when they can make sure it is safe.

Now, we at the CSC aren’t necessarily saying that no one should get the vaccine. That’s not the point. Sure, if the vaccine is as effective and safe as they say, the more people that get it in the general population the better. But to try to say you are going to put it in our highest government officials first?

Not only is that probably a lie, but it would be actually dumb if they were really doing it.

So, if Biden or Pence end up in anaphylactic shock in a couple of days, well I guess you can tell us we were wrong. In the meantime, we wouldn’t let watching these guys get a shot on television sway your thinking too much. If you are pro-vaccine, by all means get one. It certainly appears from what we are being told that it is safe and probably will work. If not, well, we’re just saying don’t let an obvious deception like this have any effect on your decision-making process. That’s all. Now, enjoy your Christmas on Zoom, or whatever Dr. Fauci told you it was okay to do.
