Or at the very least at least 51% of the population being wiped out
My 3 scenarios in order from most likely to least
1. Huge meteor impact straight into Asia
2. Super-volcano Eruption
3. Gamma Ray Burst

A far superior Alien Race annihilates the Earth, along with the Moon..Mars..Saturn..Jupiter..Venus..Pluto, plus thousands of other planets that scatter the Universe....

The Aliens will be catching up with us very soon, as they are planning to make a super highway in the Universe that allows for the safe teleportation of time-machines which get caught up accidentally materialising and getting smashed to bits when they hit a planet....

Time-Machines are very expensive and the Aliens get a ten percent fee for every time machine they save, as the cost of insurance pay out for a time-machine is astronomical(y)..

yup once it's core cools down enough yes the sun implodes then explodes.
since the sun is cold and there's no hot fusion going on much(cept in the flares) it's not about the sun's temperature reducing but rather the core.

solar dynamics physics is the most in error.

It is possible to destroy life and the Earth in a three-dimensional world.
However, you can not destroy power in a 5-dimensional phenomenon because it can not be destroyed!
