If you had the money what kind of experimental time travel device/machine would you make?

I think that I'd call Time Travel Adventures of the future. You purchase your ticket. A-sig attest you won't interfere and then on selected committee approval, for your own personal enrichment, can take a time travel tour without repercussions. Don't know if they hold a pre-trip get together, but just sip your drink and devour your hors d'oeuvres, chat about nothing and act pleasant.

But, there's some that like the spirit of adventure and all that. Traveling in time without that method being compensated for safeties sake, can be a real drag.

This would be back in the 80's. I built a radio controlled car. Back then everything was expensive for this sport. So I built my rc car from an old Barbie Corvette plastic body. I even assembled a Ni-Cad battery pack from scratch. I built the battery charger from scratch too. One day I was charging the battery pack and realized the time had slipped my mind. The charge time was 15 minutes at 4 amps. But I was late to turn off the charger. At 20 minutes I arrived to see the battery pack explode just as I walked into the garage. There was a funny smell in the air. At the scene of the explosion the battery pack was missing. I expected to see some type of carcass around somewhere in the garage. I scoured the whole garage for about an hour. No battery pack was found. It was about a week later I was walking by the spot where the accident happened. There it was! The battery pack carcass right in the spot where I was charging it a week before. It wasn't all there either. Just the outer shells of the Ni-Cad batteries. The insides were missing. I just figured overcharging the Ni-Cads had caused a temporal relocation forward in time.
Have you tried to duplicate the event? Is that when you became interested in TT?

At that time in my life I totally accepted time travel as being a fictional fantasy. In fact if you had claimed to be a time traveler I definitely wouldn't have believed you. Of course I still take that stance at present. My younger self had not yet developed a desire to invent something. A skill one develops by doing. No real curiosity existed at the time to investigate what had happened. And I haven't even given any thought ever to developing this into time travel technology until you posted this thread. I suppose I became interested in time travel after a paranormal event occurred in my life which prevented me from committing suicide. I reasoned that my future self had intervened in the nick of time providing me with information which had lured me away from suicide by baiting me with something that would give me a reason to live. It worked. But the bait turned out to be a lie. Still the intervention was real. After that I started collecting every bit of information I could get my hands on connected to time machines. A lofty goal. Most of the schematics on this forum were provided by me to Num7 given to me by a guy named Diego whose forum went kaput in Argentina. Early on I was a John Titor believer. But as real facts started to pour in I realized the John Titor ship was sinking fast. Let's just say I want to believe. But I'll need proof first!

Have you noticed any patterns? Energy? Voltage? Sounds? Colors? Locations? Anything?

I have noticed that many TT stories seem to have electricity and the color blue.

BTW THAT experiment looks dangerous. I would record the experiment or watch it from a security camera or both.

Try that these days with lipo batteries:)
... there are scriptures and mostly hieroglyphs even painting in the pyramids of egypt that shows possible lightbulbs and stuff . yet an electrolitic battery is way simple to produce ... dating the batteries 2000 bc dating the the going trough line structures aka pyramids dating 12000 years ago . Dating ancient structures last years discovered in turkey way more than mayans ...

Sometime in 1956 my father came home from work and excitedly started talking about "bending light around an object" to make it vansh, it emerged some years later he would have been talking about the Philadelphia Experiment...1960 and that great movie "The Time Machine" came out starring Rod Taylor, after which i was completely hooked on time travel...

I had to wait until 1978 to see an advert on TV regarding that book "The Philadelphia Experiment" written by Charles Berlitz and William Moore, which i bought the following day from W.H.Smith...There had been a few books i came across regarding time-travel that only covered travelling through huge Black Holes...

The start of the new millenium began and i came across a series of "in depth" books on time travel starting off with the "Montauk Project experiments in time"....Fascinating stuff from the electronics expert Preston Nichols, covering many time travel related topics, including the Delta T Antenna and the Delta Time Generator...Sadly a few members thought they knew better, and decided posting their own designs, which is their Paranormalis right to do so, but in reality they only created confusion resulting in non operational devices...

@Einstein from what i recall about yourself, you began the practical side of Time Travel with the Philadelphia Experiment and your own take on the Tesla Zero Time Generator you posted on You Tube and Paranormalis...I believe there were also a few of your expertly constructed Tesla Coils that could have been placed on the destroyer escort ship they used in the Philadelphia Experiment, named the "Eldridge" code DE-173 :)..

Yes! One recurring pattern has emerged. No one seems to be able to build anything that works.
