Alexandra Black was killed by a male lion who did escape his cage. I do not know how he was able to escape. The lion was shot dead to retrieve her corpse as he was eating her up. Truly, a sad way to start a new year. She was originally from New Palestine, Indiana a place I have visited. She was a graduate of Indiana University, the same college my dad graduated from.
