Okay, mayby I am an idiot, but I wouldn't mind it. I carry a debt card and almost never use cash. With this thing, I wouldn't even need my wallet.

You go ahead and get your national ID card. The govt. will know everything you do, and when you do it. Keep drinking the Kool Aid for now. Ron Paul is one of the few, if not the only, voices of reason in the vast waste land of federally elected officials today. He ain't one of the "establishment" wonks you seem to obey and listen to. Just my opinion, I could be wrong (but I doubt it).
