It is one of the most stunning images of our planet ever created.

Nasa's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) recently captured the unique view of Earth from the spacecraft's vantage point in orbit around the moon.

It reveals Earth seeming to rise over the craters of the lunar horizon.

'The image is simply stunning,' said Noah Petro, Deputy Project Scientist for LRO at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland.

'The image of the Earth evokes the famous 'Blue Marble' image taken by Astronaut Harrison Schmitt during Apollo 17, 43 years ago, which also showed Africa prominently in the picture.

This is the same LRO that was supposed to have photographed the original 1969 moon lander on the moons surface..I feel certain that during the next few weeks they will still be showing that picture which frankly, a 10 year old kid that lives next door to me could photoshop it a lot better ::LOL:::D

That is an interesting observation you've pointed out. It also seems to be a main focal point for the viewpoint that the lunar landings were all faked. Due to the fact that none of the pictures showed any stars in the background.

:D Well Einstein I have this thing for stars :) they give me the good kind of goose bumps when I go outside at night and look up, something I do every night to look up and know that there are trillions and trillions of stars and the endless possibilities for other worlds :D One would think stars would be all over that image  unless they just edited them out for some reason. I would have liked to have seen stars surrounding. earth-stars.jpg

There are masses more facts than just a lack of stars Einstein..The fact is all of them were faked, and very badly :D
