Nuclear Survivor or Casualty

40-50% of the people who do survive the first volley, will die of bad water, or spoiled food within the first 90 days.
those who do manage to make it out of the dead zones will have the occupying army to contend with, most likely Chinese .
your best chance is to hide, if caught you'll be shipped off to one of the camps so conveniently placed around the U S.
at the camps you will either take the mark or die, and if you don't have the mark you can do nothing, buy nothing there will be no cash,
to control the food and water, is to control the people. you will either be marked, or you will run.
the U S is pretty much the sole back up for Israel, and must be delt with first.
Israel must be alone in the coming fight.
then the world will come against Israel from all sides.
the stage is being set even now.
your surviving unmolested is something only GOD can arrange.
building fires, shooting guns , not a good way to go undetected while trying to escape the bad guys.
people will turn you in for the reward on the head of the rebels, and christians.
yeh it's the end of the world as we know it...... it will not be fun go through.
as it often is, real life will be nothing like the movies.
no glorious shoot outs where you get to save the girls.
no building forts and running around pillaging country side.
you will run, and then run some more, then puke your guts up..
then you will wake up and start running again, and hiding you'll do that to.
I would not call it much of a life to survive the bomb.

Unless you live within ten miles of a primary or secondary target, you are not going to die from a nuclear exchange, dude. Get a grip.

maybe not, however in that game they strike, we strike, everybody strike, day 1 the power grid is gone.
within two weeks all the emerg. backup gen. at all the nuke plants, will run out of fuel.
by three weeks there will be massive dead zones, around the melting fuel rods. the hot gas spewing into the upper jet stream will spread the fallout around the globe. as the exact same shit is going on in every first world nation.
the prospects for anyone on the surface of this mudball are not good. the future of those who do make it to there precious hole in the ground is not much better. they will be stuck there for some time before the surface is safe to move around.

Nuclear power plants don't become bombs when the grid goes down, dude. This isn't 1980s Ukraine.

Fallout is mostly bad in the higher latitude states that down the jet stream from the missile fields where you get the surface blasts from the larger yield warheads. Just keep enough potassium iodide for your family.

Most targets are aerial blasts and most warheads are in the kiloton range.

Don't move near primary targets like department of energy labs and military bases. Don't move within about ten miles of a major airport that has runways capable of supporting B-52 bombers. Stay out of the large cities (which you should do anyway).

I would agree that a nuclear exchange would be death for urban Americans (especially the Yankee variety), but I consider that a feature rather than a bug.

at last count world wide there are roughly 450 nuke plants on line now, with another 50 in the construction phase.
combine with the 20-50 targets you speak of, for each first world nation, so roughly 12-15 country's. a few iodine pills just aint gonna cut it.
no the plants will not go boom.
yet when the spent fuel rods start to burn ( somewhere around the 15-20th day after) they will spew vaporized dust into the jet stream like a volcano.
450 plants, + 250 actual bombs.
do the math, even low yield nukes will be to much.
it's doubtful that even the dredded cockroach can escape.
the contamination level is beyond any hope of survival. surface location will not matter.
when you consider the number of nukes (close to 200-250) popping off in both hemisphere's across the globe, all in a matter of minutes.
the earth's surface will look like some one dropped dry ice in water, smoke bubbles popping every where.
the jet stream will be scrambled into a swirling storm of high speed dust cloud's for a couple days, or six months- a year. scattering the fallout from pole to pole. so it will be a cloudy day for a while with a fresh layer of hot dust every morning. might want to wear some led sole shoes.
then punch 2 of the ole 1-2 combo, a couple weeks later the rods start to burn in 450 plants adding an untold amount of fall out dust.
that is until the rods burn a hole deep enough. close enough together, to trigger some earth quake's, big bastards. 450 real hot drill's that, most likely will burn a hole to the center of the earth's gravity field. once lit, the rods will burn for a long time.

Your numbers are way off. Worst case is a nuclear exchange with Russia. Treaties have us maxed out at something like 1600 warheads each, and most of those have yields measured in kilotons rather than megatons. Basic strategic calculus dictates most of your highest yield warheads have to target the missile fields. Military bases and C&C targets need only aerial bursts from smaller warheads.

The places you definitely don't want to be around are all the missile fields along the Canadian border or anywhere near Cheyenne.

There is no reason for Russia to target the cities or population centers specifically. In the aftermath of a nuclear exchange, most of the people that die would die from loss of law and order in cities. Don't live in big cities. Problem solved.

Most people would survive a nuclear exchange. Neither would we all be facing some terrible nuclear winter or radiation fallout that makes the Earth uninhabitable.

A nuclear bomb is just a bomb, dude. We in effect create far higher yields with conventional bombs in almost every conflict we go. What they did to those tunnels in Tora Bora was worse than a nuclear strike in terms of overall yield. I would rather just get hit with a nuclear strike and try to survive that in a shelter than endure a WW2 firebombing.

All of this scare talk comes from communist/liberal demoralization propaganda from the 1960s-1980s. It's lies and exagerrations meant to demoralize the American people.

In fact, if we went at it with Russia right now, the horrific part would be the actual WW3 we'd be fighting after the balloon goes up. The conventional part of the war is far scarier.

It wont be either of USA or Russia get a grip fellas.

As with Kairos it all come down to his personal rants about the left and right. Just manipulations of ideas.

It will be a rouge state that sets it all off.

Nothing to do with left or right bullshit.
