So I keep my hdr in my father's van. It's been hot up here last few days I don't think screws like this can melt and break a line inside the HDR no continuity in 2 places I checked. Five minutes before I had it running perfectly. The screws were already like that. I haven't used it in 2 weeks prior to today. Somebody tell me what the hell
is going on?

Pretty sure @Einstein could give you some insight on which internal parts of the HDR can melt if left in the car. I don't think there are that many IMO.

You stated it was hot. Inside a vehicle parked out in the sun could allow very high temperatures inside the vehicle. Thermal expansion and contraction due to the excessive heat could have caused the broken wires.

Our heat reached 99 degrees in the sun van back pack it adds to 120 degrees. I think 555 is max breathing
