I too believe that our consciousness is connected to the past and also the future....Personally i feel our consciousness will be part of an electronic method of taking us forward and backwards in time, but not over simplified electronic methods of time-travel, that are being put around...Our own collective unconscious will help us in maintaining our presence in the past or future, in a safe psychological and physical manner :)..
Thanks TimeFlipper. I am new to this forum. I have always though it was possible to time travel and/or to consciously connect with self in the past but it wasn't until yesterday and last night that I began pondering it more. Why did this thought come now??? I could say I know but i can also say i don't know. What i do know is I believe we can connect with our past conscious self and I am actively taking action today to do this. IF we are only limited to connect consciously and not physically time travel, that is fine with me because we can make the exact same changes in our lives to effect our immediate past (present) life the same way as if we physically time travel.

Welcome to your new Paranormalis family :)..
Travelling consciously through time suggest what is called Astral Travelling...As far as iam aware, its not possible to influence your past self in a way that you could change something thats already happened to you in the past...

By the use Electronics, a time machine can be created to take you forwards and backwards in time, however i firmly believe that when you leave our universe, you are then transported into an Alternative Universe/Dimension that allows for changes to take place in it, without ever affecting "this" Universe we are now in, that would "not" allow for any changes to the past or thefuture...

When we do enter a past or future Dimension, our own consciousness will not be protected in the way that our own Universe protects us..That was discovered after the Philadelphia Experiment on August12th 1943, from a brilliant physicist by the name of John Von Neumann :)..

This is just a followup on, a previous question that someone asked and got turned into a debate purely by accident.

Now a few things,

1 > Should we change events if possible?
2 > What would be effected?
3 > Will the outcome be worth the sacrifice?

Just keep in mind this is purely fictional unless you really are a time traveler and if that is the case,

Hi Everyone, the voices in my head got a bit loud so i had to to find a nice rock to hide under till it past. Back to what is what it was and what it will be.

See the world as we know it believe that we are somewhat in control. Truth is we are runaway trains for the most part. If I am to tell any of you give me all your money as example. Would you do it? Well would you?

See some choices isn't choices at all, we only believe they are because the statement comes in a question and not a order. Now if i am to order you to give me all your money, would you do it? Well would you? Chances are that you now consider the consequences of handing it over and what will be the result of a transaction that you would rather want to avoid.

See we believe we have choices, and those choices are connected to a thought process. All of this is sadly not true at all. We live in a world where everything went to hell a few thousand years ago. We are told to believe that carbon dating is real and told to ignore "tissue" that was found in some so called prehistoric animal. The reality is we are living inside a lie.

Ask yourself what it is what you believe and you will find that nothing really matters because we are living in a world that is deceptive by design.

Here is the thing... Each of us where presented by situations that programed us to think and act in a particular way. Once you realize this a light will go on and you will realize that every bad person that ever lived had no real choice because their programming basically placed them on a track. We can dislike them or even hate them for what they have done, it doesn't change the fact that humanity failed humanity.

So what of this? Simple truth is underlined by our blooded history, look at every action humanity has ever taken. Look at each war and the horrors it created. Look at rulers of old and the horrors they bestowed upon the people of that land.

Time and time travel only exist because billions of people want to go back to that day when things went terribly wrong...

Intense and profound fear isn't just words for many of us it has a deeper meaning...

See ETs may or may not be from other planets, Time and time travel may or may not be possible. We are still looking and still thinking...

The fact is we know we are a train on a track, we know the breaks failed and we are heading towards oblivion... Why do you think so many look towards spirituality? The hope that something will exist after the body is no more?

Some say evolution, others say ETs made us. Others say divinity had its hand in our making. This doesn't change the fact that we are heading towards our last breath at a massive speed.

Time and Time travel is as much a promise to absolve as most things are.

Life is meaning, beyond life is knowing... The question is will we know what we don't know or learned something so terrifying that we wish we never spend our lives asking the question...

My belief has always been that "Time" looks after itself, and as soon as any Time-Travelling begins, we are placed into an identical World to ours that allows for changes in the past....Eventually we leave that identical World and return back to "this" World of ours, where nothing has changed :)...
Interesting theory

IF time is more then a human construct or a mind exercise and truly is a natural force like gravity... Well that changes things significantly because we know our DNA has a genetic clock that will trigger and we will age. So something in us made sure we will not live forever.

Why? The argument can be made that the fundamental principal of life is that it must and will end. Well my choice was to consider and accept spirituality and in a a very small but significant way hope that existence will continue in some form.

See the soul is the key to our time line. Science demand a constant well the soul is constant. It was there when we took our first breath and continued to animate and bind us until the end of our mortal existence. So what am i saying?

Well firstly we existed in the past and we exist in the immediate past. So we have our two points set. Now we need to find a connection. Well our life energy was a constant between those to points. So we have a point in the past and a point in the immediate past and we have energy connecting us to those points.

Now for the remaining question. Is our past conscious? Why is this important? Well in order to change the past it needs to be conscious otherwise we cannot manipulate or effect it in any meaningful way.

Now if the past is conscious then the rules change again. How far back can we go? How far back should we go? What do we change? What will those effects be?

The reality is despite the many movies is that our timeline is very fragile. A simple change can have catastrophic consequences for all life on earth. Those in power will have infinite and utterly absolute power over all life that was and that is.

Absolute power will corrupt absolutely... Simply put, i do not want to live in a world where the corrupt can call themselves godlike.

It will trigger a singularity event where all of humanity would be enslaved to the point of hopelessness.

Simply imagine a world where your "family tree" can be uprooted and never allowed to be? That is the true scary power of time travel.

See if ETs has this power then there will be no war or peace there will simply be life and death. The act of being or not existing at all.

i Personally don't believe that they have this power. ETs may age slower or not at all... But the fundamental natural laws that governs us surly governs all of life regardless where it is found.

You purposely overlooked the future...Maybe we all have existed in our own dimensions future...God works in "mysterious ways", and Jesus knew the future...He predicted he was going to be betrayed by Judas at the last supper...Was that prediction his own feeling, or did God put that thought into his mind?....Either way shows knowledge of the future...

Absolutely not , god has a plan for each and everyone one of us and things and events were meant to happen and unfold the way they were meant to for a reason...whether for good or bad, but ultimately for good. We live each and every life on earth as a soul to learn and grow our souls, and ..interfering via time travel would negate and defeat that purpose. In other words , things were meant to happen exactly the way there are unfolding

Although you're entitled to your opinion, I have to say I completely disagree. I don't believe 100% of everything that has ever happened was predetermined. Was it meant to be that America's great metropolis cities succumb to socialism/communism or that Barack Obama (who was born in Kenya, accompanied with the lie that he was born in Hawaii) enter the Oval Office? I don't think so. I think it's very arrogant to assume that the human race knows everything about their history, etc.
