There are many people in conspiracy circles who believe that Michael Jackson’s accusations of improper relationships with children were nothing more than the Illuminati trying to destroy his name that they had helped build. Many of Jackson’s accusers eventually admitted that they were not true, which only fueled the fire. Of course, his untimely death also added to the speculation. Now, in light of the documentary aired by Lifetime recently about musician R. Kelly, many are asking the same question.
Let’s start out with some background. The documentary has really stirred up everyone especially in the age of social media. Make no mistake. This is not new news. The whisperings about R. Kelly’s exploits have been around for decades now, and everyone remembers the infamous Dave Chappelle comedy skit that made fun of some of the more unusual kinks of the man. Of course, Kelly has always denied the accusations, but much like Bill Cosby and other instances like this, the sheer overwhelming number of accusers with strikingly similar accounts just seems to difficult to manufacture. It’s the old “where there is smoke there is fire” mantra. It’s hard to believe that a conspiracy could exist so grand that this many people showed up with the same story.
R. Kelly has had a very successful music career, not just as a leading artist, but also as a producer and songwriter. Rumors of Illuminati ties have circulated in conspiracy circles for years. If you believe in such things, R. Kelly seems a prime candidate for involvement with an organization such as this. So, the idea that all of this negative publicity could be some sort of Illuminati smear campaign is a natural next conclusion.
What does the CSC think? Well, it seems to us that it’s more likely that the documentary is causing so much of a disturbance because of the timing of it. With the #MeToo movement that has taken hold over the last couple of years and then high-profile cases like that of Bill Cosby and the meanderings of Louis C.K., it could be that people are finally ready to hear these accusations about R. Kelly and give them some real consideration where they were previously just ignored or waved off as one-off incidents.
On top of that, it’s hard to believe the Illuminati would have a lot of beef with Kelly at this point anyhow. While he is a hugely successful figure in the popular music landscape, he hasn’t enjoyed any major chart success in years. His influence right now is probably not on the level that the Illuminati would be very concerned, and there has been no public record of him saying or doing anything that the Illuminati would particularly take issue with.
The bottom line is that while it’s an interesting hypothesis, the most likely scenario here is that R. Kelly’s past is coming back to haunt him and this documentary is taking advantage of a social climate that is much more receptive to this than it may have been five or ten years ago. Right or wrong, the damage is certainly done. People of all walks of life are calling for R. Kelly to face the music. If he is able to overcome this somehow, he may very well need the help of his old friends in the Illuminati to survive. The title of the documentary refers to his victims, but the title may very well be a good fit for the artist himself.
