I’m gonna be honest. This was just me messing with scalar waves emitted by a Tesla Coil (slayer exciter) and I noticed a strange effect. I must note, that though these stop watches are digital, regular EMP affects them differently. Place the stop watches near a spark gap with continuous high voltage, nothing happens to the stop watch. Place it next to a pulsed spark gap, it stops then starts then stops then starts and so on. However, this setup seems to change the rate at which the stop watch goes, which to me means two possible things
  1. EMF is affecting the stopwatch. Honestly the more likely thing
  2. The scalar waves emitted from the end of the coil dilates time. Less likely.

to properly test you'd want a non-conductor(all plastic) wind up watch
since plastic ones aren't made a non-ferrous mechanical watch would work well.
it's housing would act as a faraday cage.

crystal oscillator in a grounded faraday cage would also work.
so yup just put the watch in one.

Right. I am going to get mechanical watches

well you can use a wristwatch but have to put into a faraday cage.
copper screening or aluminum foil(foil isn't seethrough so prob copper mesh)

as far as shielding from magnetic fields, you'd need a high permeability shield like Mu-Metal.
spark gaps are high current meaning strong magnetic fields.

Thanks. I don’t suspect the magnetic field to be strong, but the electric field probably would be
