The Term UFO

"Unidentified flying object", came from the U.S. Air Force, back in the 1950s, when they were conducting their investigations with Project Bluebook. The term replaced the phrase "flying saucer", because many of the sightings were not of the typical disc shaped craft, but other configurations as well. The term "flying saucer", was coined after a sighting in Mount Rainier, in Washington State, by an airplane pilot in 1947. UFO is an older twentieth century name. A newer term for the twenty first century is; "unexplained aerial phenomena", UAP.

You're exactly right! At Shag Harbour in Canada in 1967, there were multiple USO objects that submerged into the water. Thank you for your input.

An unidentified flying object crashed in Kecksburg, Pennsylvania, near Pittsburg, in 1965.
Dozens of witnesses saw an acorn shaped craft, the size of a small car. It had strange writing, drawings like hieroglyphics on the side. The U.S. military came and hauled the space craft away on a truck.
Four years later, a radio reporter named John Murphy, was working on a story about the incident, when he was mysteriously killed by a hit and run driver. Could it have been a conspiracy hit to keep him quiet and prevent him from broadcasting a report about the UAP crash?
