Titanic sunk on purpose?

decades ago they was saying the tears on the side of the titanic was laser cuts and decades latter they say the titanic was made of a steel that when subjected to extream icy cold whether would easily get brittle and buckle and that when it sunk survivor say they herd the hull poping like it was breaking

What i recall from a conspiricy theory, was that the popping sound was made from the sub standard rivets popping out of the ships starboard side which had been repaired after an accident..

in an olde documentary about the titanis they was saying the type of steel they used to make the titanic wasent suitable as in extream cold waters the hull would get brittle and break and thus the poping may of been like you said the rivets as the hull started to buckle from the brittle metal used
