I'm not going to debate anyone on this issue as I have expressed my opinion, which is common sense.
It isn't common sense backed by anything rational regarding what is happening on the national level. It's simply opinion based on staunch held views with no basis, that do nothing to solve our national problems. It's sad, because we need true problem solvers more than people that dig in their heels against needed change. The most successful people and societies bend like a tree in the wind. An unbending tree, breaks.

But who decides on the freedom of reinstating enterprise, and what political ideology have they been brought up on?
The people decide. Politics be damned! It must be obvious by now that governments have been the downfall of all of us.

In the US, I believe Larry is fully on target with the idea that a universal basic income for all US citizens should be implemented while doing away with all other social programs such as social security, medicaid, food stamps... Etc. And, those whom don't have the need for the basic income can donate such back to those whom they personally choose.

Such would certainly limit/ do away with the need for current government departments that create waste in the national budget.

Your thoughts regarding a universal basic income?

Seriously... Larry should be a judge or the president. He is so fair and reasonable, that our nation would begin to change because of his ideas if they were implemented.
Interesting topic.

I have another plan. That is not trolling. In another forum they thought I am a troll by suggesting this:

The whole world abolishes the banking secrecy. And then all people of the world (right and left) shitrom the richest 1% that they should pay for the poor. For example they can claim they are racists or psychopaths (that is even true), if they dont spend their money. Also the richest companys should pay for it. That is enough money for all the social systems in the world.

Problem solved. The not so rich people should pay nothing.

Of course the social system in the US is more expensive than in e.g. Somalia. So it is based on the living standard in the region.

Rich people like the oil oligarch of the Middle East have won their money by deceiving other people so it will not matter if they loose it. You dont need more than a billion dollar or something in this range. No person should have that much money.

And the system would still be meritocratic.

I would be a good dictator. :D

The countries are in competition. That is also a problem for socialism and every form of universal basic income. Because the people that are rich go to the countries they dont have to pay that much taxes. So it has to be worldwide.

Monaco is such an evil citystate in Europe, where people do not pay much and go there to save taxes. In the US there are similar parts I think.
