Hmmmm..I corrected mine to, 9 minus 3=6 divided by one third of six which is 2 that leaves us 4 plus 1=5..
i was looking at it like this, when you started off by putting 9-3 which meant to a lot of us as 9 minus 3 which would come to six...its all done by mirrors CDS admit it lol

OK do division first then 3÷1/3=1 then addition so 1+1=2 then subtraction so that's 9-2=7 so according to Aunt Sally the answer is 7 or am I missing something because there was no parentheses.

I must need to go back to junior high because I don't know how you get 1 as the answer so some one explain that. But now I see why it went viral! All us grown ups have forgotten all that stuff we would never need. And I never needed it till this moment but thankfully it doesn't effect any of our lives lol.

1/3 is a fraction. 3 divided by 1/3 equals 9. Same as 3 / 0.33333... = 9
Cmon Num7, how can 3 divided by 1/3 be more than 3 :D.. you were using decimals not fractions when you divided 3 by 0.33333 and you will end up with 9.00009 so that is obviously wrong ;)
In fractions the number 3 consists of 3/thirds (3/3) therefore 1/third (1/3) is 1,and 2/thirds (2/3) are 2 :)
