No, Pemdas is American, it's just called Bodmas in the UK.

It doesn't matter anyway, because the info you quoted was created by the academic community to disorient us all. That info didn't even exist when I was in school. Would you be surpised to know that they have also successfully destroyed calculus. It used to be taught one way. Just one language. I doubt you could carry on a mathematical conversation in calculus with anyone from 20 years ago. This is the educational community making sure they keep us all educated with completely useless bull shit.
