Vote for John McCain!

Re: Vote for John McCain!

Well I watched the movie, all I can say is that all US politicians seem to be tarred with the same brush. As an outsider I would select Ron Paul, he is old, yes but he seems to be the more honest of the lot. Obama could finish up in jail for forgery of documents, at least in any decently run society, Mcains time in the prison camp should be investigated so who is left?
But then the saying goes "all people get the government they deserve", I do feel sorry for the US people. As far as I am concerned they are brush loud etc. but as a general rule they are good decent people who deserve better as what they are getting. It really is beyond my understanding that they do not rise up in protest in clean out the Aegean stables in Washington DC and try to start new. After all there are enough lamp posts around and also trees can be used like in the old days.
Regards

I agree with you on Ron Paul. He seems to be what a "conservative" is in the truest sense of the word. I think he would have been the best for this country and he seems to be one of the few politicians that have the the country's best interests in mind where the other politicians dont seem to care about much else other than their corporate campaign contributors. Obamas condoning of the $700b bailout really surprised me and showed me where his true allegiance is.

THe thing is, nobody is going to rise up in protest and overthrow the government because things on a day to day basis really arent that bad for the avergae people here. People arent starving and there arent any food shortages. People can still go about functioning with their normal lives and there isnt really any reason they cant do so. I'm not sure what I would be rising against or who it would be for? What changes could we ring to make things for the better? All the losses I;ve seen lately in the economy are affecting the rich and the upper middle class. THey sure arent going to rise up because even though they are taking a beating they still have it pretty damn good and they have this country to thank for that. We would have to essentially lose the entire middle class of this country for there to be any kind of revolution. People would need to be hungry for there to be any kind of real reform.

I dont know much about politics in Australia. But I do know you guys have some draconian internet regulations and bandwidth caps. From what I've read too, you guys took some serious blows to your rights to own certain types of firearms after public shootings, which I thought was unreasonable. I'm sure I could dig into it your country's governemnt and find things that I dont agree with and can't understand why you guys submit to some of the things you do. I think we are both pretty fortunate to live in the countries we do though, and I havent seen one thats perfect.
